Nathan Strum 11,922 Posted February 11, 2008 Well, I can't spoil the rest of this week's comics now, can I? Quote Link to comment
Zach 145 Posted February 11, 2008 That end label looks like a Holiday cart. Can't wait. Quote Link to comment
DaveD 195 Posted February 11, 2008 I know it appears as if the POP came from Artie but my money's on that TV. I mean just look at the size of those knobs on there. And there's a reason all these strips are in B/W. I think maybe Artie's gonna get a new roommate. And the comics will now all be in color with widescreen panels. Quote Link to comment
Nathan Strum 11,922 Posted February 11, 2008 Interesting ideas... but nope, it was Artie that had something go "pop". As for a new roommate, Artie was already hooked up to a new TV for awhile (when he got his video mod), but I decided I liked the look of the vintage portable TV instead, since it's based on one that I have. However... that doesn't mean there won't be something new added to the strip. As for color, the new source files for the strips are actually in color now. But I want to keep the strip black and white - like a daily newspaper strip. Unless, that is, I decide to make a Sunday episode once in awhile. Quote Link to comment

Have you played around with the Halftone Pattern filter in Photoshop? Probably just end up with a hard to read image but might be kinda cool. Quote Link to comment

I considered it, but hadn't really done anything with it. I'll have to check it out and see what it looks like at the final size. Quote Link to comment
