cd-w 553 Posted April 1, 2008 Edit: Wow - the discussion in that thread has been eye opening - no way I'm buying a copy now ... Chris Quote Link to comment

batari 4,516 Posted April 1, 2008 I'm trying to be as open-minded as possible in that thread and trying not to question Rob's motives, but rather trying to talk him out of making a costly mistake (i.e. producing more carts than he can sell.) Quote Link to comment
vdub_bobby 226 Posted April 1, 2008 Personally, I don't really care if people make games to make money - though I know some people feel very differently - but Rob seems to be so far from reality that it is a little sad. Quote Link to comment
Nathan Strum 11,921 Posted April 1, 2008 I've written several extremely heated replies to that thread, but I always let them sit on my computer awhile and re-read them before posting. Inevitably, I either edit them down, or just cancel them outright. Unfortunately, most people just knee-jerk post when they read something that upsets them, and it snowballs out of control. I learned years ago not to do that. (A side benefit of having been on the internet since '94.) I figured posting an Artie comic in my blog was enough commentary. I find the entire thread though to be completely pointless. It's about the worst way to suss out a price for a game, and ends up leaving a lot of hurt feelings. Most people don't get to walk around in the same rarified air that he does. Quote Link to comment

It's becoming more and more painfully clear that he has no concept (or interest in) what this community is really all about. Quote Link to comment
DaveD 195 Posted April 1, 2008 So Artie is up on current events? Care to share a link to the debate? Quote Link to comment
Thomas Jentzsch 10,822 Posted April 2, 2008 It's becoming more and more painfully clear that he has no concept (or interest in) what this community is really all about. IMO his mind is too much evolving about money that he is able to think any different or even imagine that other (sane) people might think any different. Really sad. Quote Link to comment
