No offense intended

This is the strip I hadn't planned on posting originally, since it seemed a little more mean-spirited than others, plus the whole thing had died off in the forums anyway.

But I decided to post it anyway since:

  • I like the parallels between this and the old Intellivison/Atari rivalry, and this fits in very well with the
where George Plimpton tried to make the Intellivision come off as being superior in every way.
  • A new thread on this has started up, so it's no longer out-of-date.
  • Some of the comments on the other strips seemed to back up the perception of the attitude portrayed here.
  • It's a joke.

Anyway, I've written one more after this and then I'll be done with the subject.

Maybe then I can move onto something else...

...or maybe not. :ponder:

It's a joke.

Only yesterday I heard some feature on the radio that you have to announce jokes in the states before telling them, because of this political correctness thing and whatnot. It sounded like a joke in itself, but probably isn't that far from the truth

Let's hope people chillax some again, once Obama won the elections.

Maybe then I can move onto something else...

That one seems to have come to a much better end though:

Mercifully, it seems some of the involved parties have worked things out, but I think the whole Gamma Attack fiasco was one of the uglier episodes around AtariAge. It started off with a bunch of paranoid ramblings, and only went downhill from there.
