Red Dead Redemption 2 Tips

Taming the White Arabian Horse the Easy Way When you Google the best horse in RDR2, people say that the white Arabian horse is the best one and they'll tell you where it is and that you need to reach chapter 2 before riding to the spot. I was playing around in chapter 2 for a while before riding all the way there, but there was no horse in the area. I went back to camp, looking for a little mission that I didn't do yet and I remembered that I had been avoiding a hunting mission with Hosea sinc

If you hate slow motion walking, don't buy Red Dead Redemption 2 (or just avoid chapter 4)

My sister bought Red Dead Redemption 2 for me as an early Christmas present since I have to keep spending so much time in bed and the game was pretty good until I got to chapter 4. You already had to walk painfully slow in camp, but chapter 4 is when there are many spots where you have to walk really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really slow for various reasons and there doesn't seem to be a way to skip it. I don't understand why it seems like just about ever

The Greensboro Science Center and Their Unhealthy Air

I went to the Greensboro Science Center on June 26, 2018 and barely got past the penguins (into the next room with the jellyfish) when I got a horrible tickle in my throat from the crappy air. I drank some water, but the real relief only happened after leaving the building. They're in desperate need of some air cleaners or negative ion generators or both (all in one). Areas around some of the animals just don't smell funny, they feel funny in your throat and lungs. The fish/reptile sections seem

ET's Favorite Candy (1980s Reese's Pieces Pillow)

My sister got this misprinted pillow in 1986: Here's the text version: IT's Favorite Candy Reese's pieces NATURAL PEANUT FLAVOR . . . IN A CANDY SHELL MY FAVORITE CANDY TOO! I don't know when it was made, but I do know that American Foam Latex Corp. made it. The pillow is roughly 10 inches by 22 inches. It seems to be about 2 inches thick, but it was probably thicker than that in the 1980s before time and storage smooshed it. By 1986, my family was shopping at Big Lots once in a whi

The Adventures of Gallbladder Boy

My gallbladder was removed on January 11, 2018. Below are some of the things that I remember. I'll update it if anything else comes back to me or my sister reminds me of something. After checking in and paying a lady, It didn't take too long in the waiting room before my name was called and I was taken to a small room with a curtain on the front. A lady told me to take off my clothing and stuff it into a little plastic bag. The thing they wanted me to wear was kind of hard to get on by myself.

How to Zoom in on Terraria (PS4)

I got PS4 gift card money for Christmas, so I bought a few Pinball games for Pinball Arcade and Terraria was only $2.99, so I grabbed that too. I had Terraria for the Xbox 360 and had no problems with it (except not liking all of the demon stuff), but this PS4 version is zoomed so far out that you can barely see the character you're supposed to control. I went Googling for the answer, but all I could find were tips about smearing your fingers on a 'touchpad.' I didn't know that my PS4 controll

Gallbladder Surgery and GoFundMe

Found out yesterday that my gallbladder surgery is scheduled for January 11th. My sister is planning to help us move stuff to the apartment on the 8th, 9th, and 10th. Looks like just about every potential AtariAge donor has already donated, so please share this link at other web sites:   https://www.gofundme.com/duanes-squishy-adjustable-bed   Think of it as a game and see if you can reach the high score before time runs out. You could be a major reason that the goal is reached. Can you get

My sister told me yesterday that I won't be moving until around the second week of January 2018. I guess that's good news for the GoFundMe page. More time to reach the goal! $2,227 of $3,500 goal raised by 48 kind and generous people in 17 days: gofundme.com/duanes-squishy-adjustable-bed Tip Jar

They Want to Take Out My Gallbladder

I told the gut doctor what game_escape said about a friend getting a HIDA scan, so he scheduled one for me on Monday (Oct. 23). They called me on Thursday to say that the scan showed that I need my gallbladder taken out. They contacted a surgeon who will schedule a consultation. I guess somebody will call me next week. In case anyone wants to know, when I went to the hospital, a guy asked me some questions, then he tried to put a thing in my arm and messed up, so he had to use my other arm. Af

Moving Soon, So I Could Be Offline for a While

The new place will be ready in about a week, but it could take 700 years to pack up everything. I have no idea when I'll lose my internet connection. I'm pretty sure it will happen this month (October 2017). If I disappear for a while, you'll know why. My upcoming absence will be tough on you, but try not to cry while I'm gone. Ghostbusters (2016) [It does not inhabit the same universe as the originals.]

SPOILERS I get STARZ for free and I noticed that the 2016 Ghostbusters was going to be on, so I recorded it. I was out of things to keep me company while doing tedious work on my web site, so I started watching/listening to it. Since the movie came out, various people have been arguing that the film is a continuation, not a remake or a reboot. The article linked to below says that although the movie is supposed to be a reboot, you can believe that it inhabits the same universe as the origina

Now It's Not My Pancreas

Continued from a previous blog entry. I went to a gut doctor today (a belly specialist). He said that the numbers aren't high enough to be any form of pancreatitis. According to him, the scans don't show anything wrong with my pancreas. And my symptoms don't match up either. He thinks it's probably my gallbladder and the no fat/low fat diet I'm on works for the gallbladder too, so I should just keep doing what I'm doing, then see him again in 2 months. I Thought I Was Having a Mild Heart Attack on Monday

Around noon on Monday (July 17, 2017) I thought I was having a mild heart attack. I had been having slight pressure in the middle of my chest for days and it would usually go away if I rubbed the area, so I thought it was just a strained muscle. This time the pressure wasn't going away, my whole right arm was tingling all the way up into my fingers, I was dizzy enough that I felt like I wanted to faint or something, and I was having a hard time breathing, so I called 911. They couldn't see any

Camo Moth

This is the blog post you've been waiting for all your life that will change the Internet forever! No, not really. It's just a crappy blog entry about a common moth. I don't remember seeing this one before in real life, so I took a few pictures of it. The moth is called the Pandora Sphinx Moth (Eumorpha Pandorus) [Camouflage Moth]. I left the images large for those who like to get as close as possible. Random Terrain Tip Jar

Atari VCS Ad (December 1980)

This Atari 2600 VCS ad was in the December 1980 issue of Playboy. No other video game stacks up to Atari. You can’t top Atari for fun. The 100 TV Show (Spoilers)

I'm up to episode 5 of season 3 and it feels like they changed writers at some point. The first season seemed to show that the "Grounders" were territorial rabid dogs who would kill you just because you existed. Then the Grounders got angry in season 2 because a kid from space killed a bunch of them in a village. Grounders were shown to be murderous scumbags who would kill anyone for any reason and now they suddenly had the nerve to whine when somebody did the same to them? None of them are inno

Protection for Bad Home Putters

My sister and I like to go to or whatever miniature golf is available, but we usually don't have the extra time or extra money during the days when it isn't too hot or too cold outside. We decided to spend a few bucks and make our own home putting area with a Callaway Kickback Putt Cup and a Callaway Deluxe Putting Mat. The problem is that I don't see in 3D properly, so I'm bad at putting and miss the kickback putt cup more often than I hit it. My sister took me to Target the other day and I

Thought I Was Going to Bleed to Death While Getting Ready to See My Mom

Continued from my previous blog entry. My mother has been in a hospice place where people go to die since the last week of January 2017. She was scared and lonely when it got dark outside, so I started staying with her at night and have been trying to sleep for at least a few hours at home during the day whenever someone could find the time to give me a ride. I can usually get to that hospice place by 10 or 11, but it was almost midnight by the time I was about to leave on Monday night (Januar

Weeks to Live Instead of Months

Continued from my previous blog entry. A bunch of stuff happened since the last time I posted, but I haven't had enough spare time or energy to type it in. Her chemo doctor's nurse called on Thursday (Jan 26) and said that my mother's blood test showed signs that something was wrong, so they called to have an ambulance take my mom to the hospital. The chemo doctor told my sister today (Jan 28) that my mother suddenly has cirrhosis of the liver and has weeks to live instead of months. I'll jump
