(0)Bubsy Bubsy is the best game!

It's fun, but I wouldn't call it the best game, not even close.
The controls and gameplay are just a bit too awkward for me, and the sound bytes aren't varied enough (though for an older game, they're not bad)

BUBSY FAN STORIES & PUBLICATIONS
There are some fan stories out there. I'll feature them here to mirror some I've seen.
Weither spoken of in a good or bad light, one thing is for certain, Bubsy has made an impression on gamers.

"I'd like a Bubsy Collection that includes the PC game Super Bubsy, the Super NES and Game Boy versions of Bubsy 2, and the PlayStation game Bubsy 3D. It would come with a bonus DVD containing a high-quality print of the Thanksgiving 1993 TV special "Bubsy: What could possibly go wrong?".

It strikes me as interesting that for Ninendo gaming that Bubsy Bobcat would be chosen. But as I'm finding out by interviewing the DeviantARTists and others, many people had a Nintendo/Sega and Bubsy was one of the first games they had. I know that was my (Doctor Clu's) case for the Atari Jaguar. So if Bubsy was not a mascot for any system he is at lea

In my surfing through the internet to find new Bubsy material, I found a website to an artist that actually created art work for the Bubsy games. In this case, it was Adrian Bourne who created some of the villians for Bubsy 2. I talked to him a bit, and then asked if we could feature his work here and a link back to his art site. I was delighted when he wrote back...
"This all sounds cool to me. I've got more Bubsy art stored in boxes here and there. I'll see about scanning some and throwing up
We had a fellow member here on Atariage known as BuyAtari who brought to our attention this bit of artwork that had been for sale that he snagged up. This was the work of Adam Harvey who did the cover art for many other video game covers in addition to Bubsy. Here is the cover for the Atari Jaguar game cover that he did:

Today I stumbled across a gold mine of Bubsy pictures that was collected by mechayamcha off of various DeviantArtist sites. I enjoyed all of these!
(And I was really touched when Mechayamcha thanked me for helping keep Bubsy alive. Made me realize I needed to get my website up for Bubsy fandom. I made this blog instead!)
Thoughout the internet I have found a good array of Bubsy pictures. Some of them were interesting combinations of Bubsy and another character (like the Bubsy/Cloud picture or the Bubsy punk idea). One thing I definately have to say, everyone sees Bubsy differently, and when you have a orange Bobcat with only a white shirt with an "!" on it, you can see here you can have a LOT of creative variance.
Many of these I don't know where they came from, but would love to talk to the artist if you k
I'm working to find unique Bubsy art (and I'm finding a lot) and ask permission of the artists to feature the work here and give them credit for their work. It is the right thing to do, and it gives me a chance to meet other Bubsy fans out there. (Or people who hate Bubsy... either way they remember him.)
When asking Vilsy if I could post the art here I got this reply
" Hi there! Sure, I would be happy to have my Bubsy pic on your blog. I didn't know there were others who loved th

" I have drawn him, though...only the once. I'm flattered, of course, and pleasantly surprised to realize I'm not the only fan. So anyway, awesome. I may just have to draw another picture of him, if I find the time. Thanks. Good luck with the blog. "

"Well, I have been planning some Bubsy art and videos for the future. More to have some fun with the fact his series was perhaps a good idea but poorly planned and executed. I do like Bubsy as a character and yes you can link to my art and I do have a short animation of Bubsy of his SSBB audition. However, if you are going to discuss me as an artist I would ask that I not have any negative reviews or comments about me brought to my attention. Other than that, any future Bubsy works I do you have
