I'm seriously considering selling my Coleco ADAM. I never hook it up anymore, last time I did the video had a lot of glitches, and the tape drives don't work.
I may bring it to MGC to see if anyone wants it.
Hooked up my Colecovision Flashback the other day and enjoyed several rousing rounds of Jumpman Junior.
Jumpman Junior is the epitome of why I love classic gaming. Simple to learn, hard to master, doesn't need fancy sounds or graphics for fun.
I was getting addicted all over again. I swear I played it for an hour, until the wife told me she wanted the TV back. Jumpman Junior is THE reason to get a CV Flashback if you don't have one.
Pie Factory will be sharing a table with Underground Retrocade at Midwest Gaming Classic! We're in the Arcade Vendors hall.
The first person to visit who can guess the two games we will be talking about in episode 29 will win a Edladdin Seagull 78 adapter for the Atari 7800!
I just won a million dollars, all my money problems are over, my eczema finally totally cleared up, my depression went away, I fianlly have representation in the state and national political scenes, my wife decided she loves sex, I moved out of the cockroach infested hell hole I live in, and I have a car I can trust.
APRIL FOOLS!
This morning I went down to the unemployment office to find out what options are available to me at this time...
I walked out with two job applications put in...
When I went in, they informed me that Spherion was hiring for a warehouse position... That didnt start until 9, so while waiting, I updated my Illinois Skills match profile. When I started, there were no jbs listed for me. After I was done updating, there was one for the University of Chicago hospitals.
9 AM rolls around
Today my unemployment ran out.
I officially have no income.
If I accept this thing with the trucking company, I will have no income for at minimum a month.
Fortunately tax time is around the corner. We'll see what happens.
Welp, as many of you know, I was fired back in July, and the road to new employment isn't easy.
First, if anybody has a job for me, please PM me for a copy of my resume.
Secondly, I found out that I am eligible for the state of IL's WIA program. This means I get $5000 to apply towards trasining to make myself more competitive, and with that, I'm pursuing getting my MCSA.
That's all for now.
Hello, Dr. Ink!Whazzup? THis will be the third blog I've ever started. Let's see how long I go before I get bored with it!Anyway, I thought you all might like to know what's going on with me and my kids...I love and hate my kids at the same time. Maybe hate is too strong. "Get highly irritated" is probably better. I cannot keep my hous clean. THey're always getting into the refirgerator, getting food out and wasting it. Then we have not enough money to replace a lot of what they destroy.
OK, I just bought a book whose title screamed at me... "Shut up, Stop Whining, and get a life!" by Larry Winget.. I'm in the process of reading the book, and man, is it hitting me right between the eyes! This guy does not pull any punches. THere's a reason he's called "The Pitbull of Personal Development"!
To hear a little of what he says go to http://www.larrywinget.com/hear.html
