My Treadmill Desk will be delivered tomorrow. I've spent the past week getting ready for it:
- emptied my office
- had 2 new electrical circuits installed
- for 3 days had Roomba vacuum the room multiple times a day
- Did a once over with the attachments on my regular vacuum, targeting things like cobwebs in the corners and around the light fixture, dust on the baseboards, etc.
- Shampooed the carpet on Saturday
- and today have sent Roomba back in for a few more rounds before tomorrow's delivery (it's amazing how much carpet fuzz the shampooer loosened up)
I added the 2 new circuits due to power issues I've experienced in the past due to having 7 computers and a laser printer all on the same electrical circuit. Turning on the printer would cause the lights to dim, and if I plugged in a fan or space heater the circuitbreaker would trip. The printer now has it's own circuit, while the treadmill desk will be plugged into the other new circuit.

Empty closet. The far corner is the other door into the office, it's the 'normal' door for the bedroom. Normally when you select the "office upgrade" they remove the closet and original door, so you can only enter thru the french doors that open into the living room, but that would have left the house as a 2 bedroom home so they left the closet and other door so it can easily be changed back if needed in the future.
The contents of the office are now scattered throughout my home. Most of it ended up in the living room:
Some in the hallway
While the shelves from the office closet ended up in the family room
The old desk is going to be repurposed to hold my C= 128 and other classic systems. They're just sitting there at the moment, haven't had time to reconnect them
Something tells me it's going to take significantly longer than a week to get everything back into the office.
