Thomas Jentzsch 8,304 Posted October 3, 2015 Actually all ROMs released on cart for the Atari 2600 should better be free of bugs. Quote Link to comment
Thomas Jentzsch 8,304 Posted October 3, 2015 I would guess almost every Atari ROM has or had a bug shipped. But fortunately those bugs are just minor ones. Quote Link to comment
Nathan Strum 11,447 Posted October 3, 2015 Credit where credit is due - I got the idea for this episode from jaybird3rd's status update from yesterday. After re-reading it, I liked his original quote "Developers will be instructed to create bug-free games. Period." better than the line I used, "The programmers just have to make sure their games are 100% bug-free." So I changed it. It sounds more arrogant, which is more in keeping with the vibe of the RVGS (if you don't see the new line, refresh the page). 2 Quote Link to comment
jaybird3rd 12,446 Posted October 4, 2015 Wow! I'm happy to have provided some inspiration! That probably wasn't an exact quote (I don't remember how they phrased it in their original Facebook post), but as you say, I wanted to capture their crazy arrogance, and maybe amplify it just a little bit. Nathan Strum 11,447 Posted October 4, 2015 That's pretty-much what satire is, right there. 1 Quote Link to comment
