Movement. Whatchaneed?

 

if joy0left then player0x=player0x-1

if joy0right then player0x=player0x+1

if joy0up then player0y=player0y-1

if joy0down then player0y=player0y+1

 

(I would use variables rather than player0x or player0y)

 

if joy0left then l=l+1

if joy0right then r=r+1

if joy0up then u=u+1

if joy0down then d=d+1

 

(and then tie the variables to all kinds of things going on like movement or background animations.)

 

The beginning you describe on "The Necks - Aether" reminds me of woodwind tuning time at the start of band class.

The movement I needed was to try and make the sprite glide diagonally in assembly.
