Game Boy: Year 9
So I saw Oddworld Adventures in the store today for the Game Boy. I used to have it but I lost it or got rid of it somehow, so I bought it. It was only $7. I went to Nintendoage to see how many other releases there were for the Game Boy in 1998. Apparently a lot. More than I thought. I actually had a couple and didn't even realize it. So now I have a new passion: Game Boy titles from 1998-9. Yes, there were two titles for the original Game Boy in 1999: Super Breakout and Pokemon Yellow. I put some batteries in my original brick Game Boy and it works perfectly. So here's what I have in the way of 1998 titles:
Oddworld
Brain Drain
Frogger
Wario Land II.
Thing about Wario Land II: I have a gray cart. The one on NA is a black cart. I wonder how rare the gray cart is as opposed to the black cart.
I also saw Harvest Moon for GB that I will pick up next time I go there. It is priced at $24.99, though.
They have the Lolo trilogy for NES, all three of them total was about $100, with Lolo 3 being about 2/3 of the total. But you can buy them separately. It wasn't a bundle. I would like to program homebrew Game Boy games, but I don't know how. If I get started and actually can do anything, a GB Everdrive would be the way to go.
Worked on Polarium 2600. I call it 1-LINE now. Here is a screenshot of the latest version:
I was up all night working on it. As you can see, it could probably be done on the Game Boy. I was playing Polarium Advance last night to see what I could do with 1-Line.
