It may be "only one drawing", but that's still less "recycling" than Garfield. Happy Anniversary!

Thanks! I can remember back when Garfield was still original (if not actually funny). That lasted about a year. A programmer friend of mine once thought it would be possible to write a program that would generate Garfield strips automatically. I don't even think that much work goes into it anymore.

 

That said, under the right circumstances, Garfield can be made to be funny.
