Composure

So I have been composing music. Here is a little bit of what I've been doing the last couple nights.

In order to make the sheet music, I had to install another program since the MIDI making program I use to make MIDIs does not have a free printing feature. I clicked on the "more info" button about buying one, but they said they weren't taking orders until Oct. 26. So I went to google and found this program that does a good job printing, but it doesn't support key changes.

Also, it is a horrid file size (about 250MB per page), so in order to reduce it, I took screenshots of the .pdf and put them through Photoshop. This creates a way less file size, but it's just a picture. So I put the picture into a Libre Office document and turned that into a PDF.

What I've been doing is:

  1. going to the keyboard with paper, playing whatever comes to my mind, and writing down what sounds the best.
  2. take the audio recorder and play what I came up with. Each mp3 is about 2 minutes or so. I play it real slowly so there's less chance of messing up. I still do sometimes though.
  3. put the mp3 in Audacity and fixing it so it sounds better than it did.

I named this project "One Golden Pineapple". Since the pineapple photo I made wasn't used for the Pineapple 7800 game, I put it to use here. What I want to do is get some lined paper so I can write it down better. I bought some, but I don't know where it is. The 5200 I bought is supposed to arrive tomorrow. And apparently I slept through a magnitude 4.4 earthquake.

I got tired of Game Boy coding every night so I thought for a change of pace I would work on something different. One other thing I like is music, so I turned to that.
