Halloween.
It's October 31. AKA Halloween. I have a Halloween present: A new level of Ugly Uppity Umpire.
I made a level with ghosts in it. What's the difference between a ghost and underwear, you may ask. Ghosts can go through walls, underwear can't. I thought up of the ghost enemy when I first thought up of the game. I just hadn't thought of a good reason to use enemies that can go through walls until now.
I've decided to not have a save feature or a password for this game. Instead, I'll have a level select option so anyone can start at any level any time they want to. That will take the least amount of work to implement. Not that any level will be particularly overly difficult. Perhaps I should put in an impossible level that will leave players frustrated.
The plan is to put in a good amount of levels that I can fit in 64k. Using 128k just to put in more levels and songs seems a moot point. I'm using banks 1 and 2 for storing levels 1-12. The plan is to put in a new song every 4 levels, like I've been doing so far.
I found another bug related to the umbrella sound effect playing while dying. I think I fixed it. I found some more bugs. Real life ones. Ants keep coming in my bathroom. I don't know why. There's no sugar in the bathroom. Ants crawling on me while I'm going to the bathroom is no big deal I guess. At least they're not scorpions. When life is this stupid, you need to find positive things about it.
So Happy Halloween!
