Going Bananas - game #2

OK. So I am mostly done with "Oh Well," the first game in my Going Bananas cartridge. I want to put 3 1k games in one cartridge along with a 1k menu to choose between the games. Pressing the reset switch at any time will take you back to the menu. But I'm getting ahead of myself now.

We here are poised for a big ice storm Thursday with the possibility of power outages due to the 1/4-1/2 inches of ice we're expected to get. I don't want to be almost done with something only to have the power go out, so I am quitting work on everything until after Christmas is over.

This next game I'm planning is sort of like the first one, except I plan to do some different things.

Here's what I'm planning:

This new game will be on a three-lane road. The road will have boxes in the middle of the lanes to avoid as well as bananas to get. The boxes will be the ball. Since I want brown boxes, I had to make all of the screen consist of the background. So I made the background different colors. This took an annoyingly long time to make it so it doesn't have any jagged edges. I still don't know why that happens a lot.

So I have 530 bytes left of the 1k I've allotted to myself. Can't believe all the space things take up: score routine, vertical blanks, just all the needed routines to make a game up and running. This game needs a name. Something short. On the menu, I would like to make the games short in order to make them be legible using players 0 and 1. The selecting symbol will be missile0. But I don't know. "Road Block" seems like a good name, so does "Road Rage." Something with "road" in it. The letters in the title needs to fit in a maximum of 16 pixel-width.
