Fiddling with Sega
I fixed my Sega Genesis! What was wrong was the pin in the RF switch was bent. I don't know why I tried to unbend it again, but I did. Using a pair of tweezers, I managed to pull it out from the side, and then got it straight again. Now I can enjoy my Sega Genesis and its games again! I also tried to unscrew the screws from my Game Gear to figure out why it wasn't working, but I hurt my finger trying. I laborously tried to unscrew some screws, I even used WD40 to no effect. So I had some dead skin on the side of my finger, so I bit into it and peeled it off. Now there's a band-aid on it. Well, anyway, I'm just glad I can collect Genesis games again (right now I only have 16.) Methinks I'll be playing a lot of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and Columns until Saturday when I might go to Game Crazy. I'm definitely going to Best Buy to try and get a VHS-to-DVD converter. Hopefully, there is one there and it's not too expensive.
