Brief Description: "Naferia's Reign: Invasion of the Dark Mistress", or "NR:IotDM", is a large-scale HyperModification for the PC First-Person Shooter Duke Nukem 3D, using the EDuke32 source port. Being that this description is meant for the Bubsy Fanblog, I should mention our fearless Bobcat is a playable character in the modification, one of fifteen total. Bubsy can glide, grab extra life t-shirts from out of the game, among other thing specfic to him. It's best to check the site to learn the full shebang about the mod as a few paragraphs won't really explain it too well. XD

Thanks to the Internet archive we were able to recover a older version of the Duke Nuke'em hack.

We were also able to recover the download attached which does have Bubsy voice files in it. Currently untested however. If someone could get it working, maybe even create a new YouTube video to replace the one that was lost, that would be awesome. - Doctor Clu

Personality [In Depth]:
     As he is a rare kind of being in the world [at least to him and his close friends' knowledge], Bubsy tends to take great pride in his social accomplishments. He considers himself an "Odd screw in a sea of nails", and believes his ventures in to stardom and movie-making have given him a unique push into life. Bubsy has also had experience with less glamorous forms of work, such as being a tour guide to the now-defunct Amazitorium, ran by his old nemesis, Oinker P. Hamm. However Bubsy has also had the experience of fighting various aliens, although not vicious to the extent of the Rigelatins or Triocladiar. Bubsy's occasional brushes with the Woolies tend to be seen as both an adventure, but at the same time an annoyance, since the Woolies seek to steal yarn from the Earth, which is considered a precious commodity to him.
     Because of how he grew up, Bubsy tends to be quite vain and narcissistic, although he acts it out in a playful manner, especially to his friends. In some ways, he has been mistaken by others to be a naive fool with his head up in the clouds due to this, coupled with his tendency to try to be happy and playful. However this "naive" mask covers the truth, and he knows how cruel things can be from the stories he's heard from other movie stars, human and non-human alike, including Duke himself, who co-starred with Bubsy in "Eye of Horned Solitude", a critically acclaimed movie for both Duke and him. Bubsy's friendly though vain personality has both earned him many human friends and human rivals. He has few other Anthromorphic actors to converse with, and no real rivals to speak of among them.
     Also, when in the presence of his nephew Terrance and his niece Teresa, he tends to get easily overworked, and can often lose his patience with others when he has to keep watch on them so much. He loves his family a lot, but he freely admits the two "Bubsy Twins" can be a serious handful. Despite this, his family has actually helped him in his adventures, particularly in the Amazitorium, and it was in fact them who discovered of Oinker P. Hamm's temporal plot to screw with history and insert it into the present day.
     Bubsy also admits there are many times, he feels the "inner cartoon" within him is just waiting to spill over. Some people wonder if this might be a sign of a potential personality disorder, or if it refers to some other trait within him he rarely shows to others. In combat, Bubsy often pounces on his enemies in a similar manner to his normal-animal counterpart, but he will also sometime uses various 'weapons' from his Amazitorium days as well. He also prides on his ability to glide to safety from very high falls, an action that has saved his life [or many lives] countless times.

Appearance: Bubsy stands almost the same height as Jack, around five feet and four inches tall. He has the appearance of a humanoid bobcat with orange to brown fur covering his body from head to toe. He has green eyes with cat irises just as a normal bobcat does, and is extremely slim when his limbs are concerned, although his torso might look slightly tall [but not wide or fat] for his size. He has short claws on each hand, which can grow and then retract on command, called "Killer Klaws", allowing him to cut through enemies at close range. His feet are also very flat, though big, and allow him to land on some of his enemies to do damage. He also wears a single white t-shirt with a red exclamation point on the front, his trademark symbol among fans and friends. The T-shirt also gives him a small boost to his gliding abilities as well.

     (Support) Loki Mask - Bubsy can eventually come upon the Loki Mask, allowing him to assume a stronger form with multiple upgrades to his abilities, including damage resistance and higher jumping.
     (Passive) Nine Lives - Bubsy can collect multiple 'extra lives', as indicated by white T-Shirts with a "1" or "2" on them. He can hold up to 8 of these. When 'killed', one of Bubsy's extra lives will be consumed and Bubsy will be auto-revived at full HP.
