I have expensive books?

In 1997, I was 14, so just about the right age for this kind of thing, maybe a little too old to be honest, but there was a series of books called Barf-o-Rama. They made 18 of them (from what I understand), 17 story books + 1 joke book. I have 1-15, and can't find 16-17 and the joke book. Well, anyway, long story short, I was on eBay trying to find those missing books. I didn't find them, but the ones I had were about $1-3. But then I go to Amazon.com, and the prices for the ones I had jumped to about $30. I managed to find the joke book, but I'm not paying $30 for a book that was originally $3. (I never did find 16-17 and I'm beginning to think they never did make them.) Anyway, I remember in middle school before the halls were open and there were tables where the kids could sit and I remember sitting down and writing gross stories of my own, each were about 1 page long (I never was much of a writer.) Well, anyway, I find it interesting that the prices of the ones I had I bought brand new have jumped to 10 times their original value on Amazon. Maybe someday I'll go back and actually read them. I don't know why, but I like to collect a whole bunch of different stuff. My room is a total mess because I'm a packrat and it's filled with paper, CDs and video games. I really should clean it up but I don't want to. I guess I'll just always be a kid at heart forever, which is sad really because I'll be turning 28 this Tuesday.

i read alot of small press horror novels and while poking around amazon i discovered people selling the out of print ones for $200 and $300 each. i could never sell them though because my books are one of the very few physical items i have an emotonal attachment to.
