Hm... it looks a bit odd with the bottom line of the letters missing, almost feels like a graphics bug. Also the 'S' is missing the dot.

 

And what's the purpose of it saying "THE 2600"? I'd just remove that.

 

One idea I'd consider a pretty cool effect would be adding some animation: Start displaying "R." with the "Rock" fist underneath, then add "P." and switch to the "Paper" fist and finally add the "S." and switch to the scissor fist, repeat. Syncing the timing with the baseline of the title tune certainly

The logo (and title) is based on this. The cover art and backstory for the manual are as well.

 

Hence the slightly weird title.

 

Admittedly, it's probably something nobody else will ever get, but it just adds to the pretentiousness authenticity of it.

Hm... I can see it now, but still I don't get it. But I guess I'm excused as the show never ran in Europe

For initally drawing R.P.S one could use the same effect as used in Star Fire.
