    • Yeah, this will be the last one lol!  Otherwise I'll turn into that bearded guy saying "howdy folks, JT here..." and posting Youtube videos lol!!  🤣   Regarding the white screw hole stuff.  I think it's some kind of warranty seal sticker where you're forced to break the seal if you're going to open the unit.  Definitely not spiderwebs since I took the console apart and it's pretty clean inside and out.  That seal was already broken when I got it.
    • Lol, here we go again, HAHAHAHA, but isn't the joystick just like the 'STICKLER' in a sense?
    • Oh I know that, it very much so was accidental given the time, announcements of either, it's a nice fat coincidence really, but when it came down to it, it ended up having the appearance of a poor mans virtual boy, and given the budget needed to own one or those segmented games it fits.   It was quite smart, you buy a unit for like $50 and you can get the games for like $10 a piece or so, vs buying a more bulky $20-30 dedicated handheld they did.  You make a more complicated handheld or head piece, then you just need an unpowered view window and a super cheap basic board and pinout to send that data to the device so it would be more profitable in that sense.  You're probably right about the lame one eye system setup being caused by bean counters, because even they realized it was a dumb move and ditched it for the revisions after not too long.  The XPG was really nice and I did like it, but I grew fed up with it sitting around with nothing new to play, or I'd have kept it.  When an utter turd like Indy 500 was going for $20-30 on ebay, that was my end of interest because the good stuff went up to like $50-100 a pop, notably higher for the rare to find stuff like Apollo 13, etc.  You'd have to be mentally ill and dedicated to eat that.
    • I read fine, and my comment still works in the realm of senseless pandering to the CTE debacle the NFL has had to deal with.  It's a video game of all things, and one that was known for every one of those brain bruising bone breaking beat downs, and to neuter out a number of them and not being straight forward about it using percentages and the rest is pathetic.  They should have just left it alone, to slice it up is just stupid.  As the other posts said already, what's next, removing some hits from a boxing game because jabs cause broken noses and a right hook will get you brain damage from one too many hits to the temple?  Hah.  Some things just should be left as is, short of like something truly disgusting and unacceptable by most peoples standards.   Zoyous, if I get the intent of that joke, thanks.
    • Honestly, it would probably be cheaper to get 2 Astro Cities than 1 Egret II and just have one for vertical and one for horizontal. One of the best things about the Astro City is actually that it does not have western controls; the Astro City's button and stick layout is the best ever created, and I never want to play on Vewlix or the American buttons-in-a-straight-row thing ever again. I love the Astro City layout.   That does go into my next question, though: how does playing on 2P side work? I'm not really sure how the MiSTer works when deciding who is player 1 and who is player 2, but if I want to play on 2P side, can I do that in the normal fashion? You know, just put my coin in and hit the 2P side start button? There are a few games you can test it with that support this and have advantages to playing on 2P side, like DoDonPachi.
    • Hmm Ok I am going to remove the shielding and check it out thanks for pointing out.
    • It doesn't look like you have pressed down the FPU far enough into the socket.
    • I think I got everything working finally. The issue was how I was drawing the celery, multiple frames for multiple scenarios, leaving the collision detection not working as well as I had hoped. Let me know if you can still go through the apple. I'm changing it to a tomato, just because who throws apples at people anyway? celery29a.bin
