Console - decent condition. (1 small chip on back corner.) Power supply 1 controller Composite Video Cable 1 working Super Game Boy 1 non-working Super Game Boy (didn't even try to clean yet)
I'm not in the marketplace enough to sift through and determine giveaway vs absurd pricing.

    • If it wasn’t for all the Ideas You, Atari and others on AtariAge have we wouldn’t have what we have now and what’s on the way!   So a BIG THANK YOU!
    • I've played the demo and I thought the production value was good. The style of game is one it takes the right mood for me to get into but I found it enjoyable and very well made.
    • Yes, talking to myself again...    I opened up my joystick and cleaned the pots.  Then tried Arkanoid again.   I noticed two things.   1:  There is still some jitter, but it is working much better!!! 2:  I might have read the instructions wrong the first time.  It said to move the stick to the left, hit a button, then move it to the right and hit a button.  I don't remember that the first time.  So I might have just moved it to one side and hit the button...   Could the Floppy Deep Dive video guy and me made the same mistake?  Considering that I was seeing the exact game behavior as was on his video, I am betting yes...   But I suppose it could also have been cleaning the POTs...   So, pots need cleaning on old machines AND make sure you read the instructions on the screen properly.
    • This just happened to me as well. I had ordered season 2 awhile ago- got the magazine and Amidar. Ordered season 3 Extended play. Just got sent another copy of Amidar, another magazine season 2 packet and two coin sets/ two copies of DK jr. Edit; I'm putting a mention in for @opcode
    • "My board is the combo 32K/TIPI board. No chips on the underside." was this a mistake?

    • Yes of course it's been talked about.   But, I'm reminded of a quote from a a UK TV show called Dragons Den, in the US it's called Shark Tank. One of the dragons said something that really resonated with me. It was something along the lines of "a successful product is 5% idea and 95% execution"   And it's so true. I have a million and one ideas and so do my friends at Atari and same for here on Atari Age.   But man when you start to process the idea you are just hit with roadblock after roadblock for its execution and more often then not the idea doesn't work cause of the complexities of execution.
    • I have the woodgrain version,  as the (Limited Edition) collector in me had to have it.  Also I like ATARI and WOODGRAIN.  Glad I bought it!  And now I may just buy the red one,  A) Because I can, and B)The ATARI Collector in me wants to show support,  Plus it's RED and would contrast nicely with all the other colors I have     Now as for collecting Evercade...HMMmm...How to phrase this.  For me,  it's not an entree,  It's an All You Can Eat Buffet!    Certainly depends on your tastes and budget.    And,  IMHO,  for what's on offer here I think it's very reasonably priced.  Plus sometimes you buy a set of games by a certain dev,  where buying One of the Original Genesis games might be $300+ now (I already own a CIB of Arcus Odyssey, for example,  but was Shocked (Shocked, I tell ya  (heh) when I saw what copies of the game go for...).  It's one way to avoid ROM Overload and paying eBay sharks...   I bought everything ATARI and systems I did Not have growing up (So Intellivision, LYNX, C64, Amiga etc)...   Then there's the stuff I DID have so SEGA Genesis, NES, SNES...The stuff I bought later (TG16),  The Indie stuff..and Homebrews.  File lots of it under "I Just Wanted It"     So, I Almost went full Pokemon, or like those who say "Can you collect a Full Set for XXX?"...In Essence saying You gotta Catch'em ALL.   ***I changed my mind based on the fact there are just a few I would probably never play***   Now,  Yes I often own the Original games (and systems), and yes I own all the ROMs,  oh wait I never said that...(Presume ROMs played on Everdrives etc. as games I own anyway but don't want to dig out all of my carts...Where was I?   Oh Yes,  Best Advice I can  give:   Look at everything available,  (Oh also you should buy a VS,  because then it's a Console to play on the big screen (umm,  so to speak)),  but that is a separate recommendation(Oh yes,  oh yes,  (bows)  You're Welcome)...So  Look at Everything and Buy Anything that interests you!!   PS:  As you can tell,   I'm terrible at giving advice!  Haaa!   But Welcome to the world of Evercade!  Have fun!    FWIW,  Some people decide between 2 ideas:  Buying the carts of games they've played and like and showing "Official Support" (Plus you'll always find Hidden Gems), or  Just buying stuff you don't find elsewhere.  Indie Releases,  Homebrews, etc.
    • Once I did the math on a new, wireless 7800 controller and BB's Crystal Quest, I thought I might as well buy the 7800+, even though I already have a 2600+ and updated the firmware, so that's what I did.   I'm curious about Atari's game release strategy going forward. With AtariAge being owned by Atari and now Atari officially releasing games, there's now 2 possible ways for Atari to release a game. How is it decided if it's released by Atari first, such as Bounty Bob Strikes Back or if on AA first, what factors help Atari decide if and when a game gets an official Atari release?
    • Sweet now you have lots of options to work with, including a good many PAL games of which some of those exclusives work and are good.   Also if ever worried about the connector, the underside of the black part has an emblem molded into it, looks like an artsy a bit hexagon.  It's the corporate logo of the supplier.
