    • Looking at a schematic I presume you are referring to either U25 or U26, they are called SIL (Single In Line) resistor networks and come in different variations as some have multiple individual resistors with a connection to each end of the resistor, some have internal parallel/series resistance network connections, but the most common type and the one that you will probably need is the commoned version where one end of all the resistors are internally connected to a single common pin (usually connection to the positive supply or GND).   From the schematic they appear to be used as pull-up resistors for the controller inputs, therefore if the common was damage that would likely affect all controller inputs, if it was just one of the resistor then only the controller signals affected by that one resistor will be affected. But you may have just done cosmetic damages to the outer casing without actually damaginh the component itself. If I have not miscounted the schematic shows 7 pull-up resistors on the controller ports, so you will need a 7 resistor pack (8 pins, 7 for resistors + 1 for common) but the schematic I am looking at does no indicate a resistance value, either the value and/or a manufactures part number will usually be printed on the outside so it should be possible to work it out if you do not have access to a schematic or parts list that shows the resistance value.   Most big electronic component retailers such as RS, Farnell/Newark, Mouser should stock them.
    • Black screen might mean the TI is being blocked from running any code, U3 is the data bus driver, you could try pulling that chip out (I think that would be safe) and power on the TI to see if one of the 8 data lines is being messed up.  Also check for shorts between socket pins while it's out.  Once that chip is out, it's probably safe to pull U4 and U5 (address bus) chips and see if the TI then boots up.  Same check for shorts on those two sockets.  Then we get to the 3 transistors, they are READY (top one on its own) and LOAD + EXTINT next to each other at the bottom.  Desolder those one by one and try to power up the TI.   At that stage, you are pretty disconnected from the TI (except for Pico inputs: CRUCLOCK + WE + MEMEN + A15 + DBIN), so you should know which area the problem is in.
    • Well @Ben from Plaion I really admire PLAION energy and dedication to this project to bring back Atari. It is really great that you and @Albert have won over the homebrew community (at the beginning the mood here was rather sceptical) with a great quality of the products. This will surely bring many great titles that do not have to be Pac Man or Commando. There are so many great ideas for games, I am sure we will enjoy the ride for the next few years.   BTW, you converted a Commodore guy to the Atari. 🙂 That is something.
    • Great, thanks. I think in "honor" of our court jester, we could look some random boxes just because they look weird and nonsensical. I know nothing about these games, so let's see how they try to capture a would-be-buyer with their visual prowess.   Abadox The Deadly Inner War is the secondary title. And looking at the vivid imagery, I'm thinking the player is shrunken to nano-size in order to do battle inside the human (or other) body, fighting cancer cells and UFOs. Sounds like a neat idea. But how did that title graphic get past Nintendo censors? Maybe it's strawberry jam and I got the concept all wrong.   3-D Worldrunner Well the title is pretty self-explanatory on what this is. But free 3-D glasses? Is it one of those games that is a garbled mess to look at without them? Another thing that draws the attention is the man with the chest burster but I guess Alien already coined that term. Rib Rifle then? And of course, if you are planning to run through an entire world, putting on rubber boots is perhaps the most uncomfortable and impractical footwear to use for such a endeavor. I hope they also issued a blister pack with the game.    Formula One - Built to Win The marketing team answered "Yes" when the artist asked "So you want more?".    Hammerin' Harry I'm sure this is your run-of-the-mill platformer with a some minor gimmick but this looks like evidence 167-B in the trial of Harry Herman "The Hammer" Harrison on his killing spree of '90. This particular photograph taken by one of his unfortunate victims before facing a gruesomely brutal end. Palamedes No. Next.     Qix Your mind is your only weapon but our box is only the Windows 3.1 screensaver.     Xexyz Lastly, I don't think I've ever seen a product that is so unsure of itself. One can only wonder about the marketing meeting that went into this. A question mark at the end of those three dots would have been perfection.
