      The Steam Sale is weak.  I'm looking for 95% off people!!
      1. Razzie.P

        People are expensive. I'm not sure Steam can sell them at 95% off unless they consider it a loss leader.

      Warning: Do not play DYSMANTLE. You won't want to do anything else for the rest of your life. You can eventually destroy almost everything. It has a portal where you can instantly go back home, then return to the spot you left. You can place turrets almost anywhere to help you fight bad guys. You can build your own house if you want. It's an almost perfect game.

      Was just on the Sony store on my ps5! Looking thru the ps4 games. I saw postal 4!! Oh man. I played postal 2 to death on PC. Idk man, I think Gorf Arcade will have to wait a little longer to buy
      1. SlidellMan

        As much as I wanted Postal 2 twenty years ago, P4 looked and ran like shit. Sure, Running With Scissors can fix all the bugs and glitches, but it didn't have the ribald, edgy, over-the-top, Newgrounds humor that Postal 2 had. You would be better off buying Postal: Brain Damaged instead.
      2. Corby

        @SlidellMan I didn't even know there was a 3rd one!!!!!!
      3. SlidellMan

        I heard that Postal 3 was pretty bad, but not without merit. That being better level design and art direction. By the way, Alek Waselewski (https://sarkazm.newgrounds.com) animated the cutscenes to Postal: Brain Damaged.

      Why,  Back in My day...We bought a box of cereal.  Now ya have to buy a "Family Size" box of cereal.  We bought paper plates.  Now you have to buy Heavy Duty paper plates,  unless you want your food falling on the floor.  On Halloween they gave out candy...Now it's Fun Sized candy,  (not very fun if ya ask me)...And you could buy a bag of chips,  now it's a Party Sized bag of Lightly Salted chips,  lest ya get 6% Sodium and it tastes like a pile of salt...OK That's good fer now.  I'll ponder less kleenex in the box next time,  besides I have to go yell at some clouds...And maybe, if I have time reflect on how I think only the first 60 seconds or so of Revenge of the Sith feels like Star Wars to me.  I mean seriously,  Jedi arguing about whether or not they should fire their weapons... in a war?  I wanted to crawl though the screen and bitch slap both of'em!

        Red Leader to Gold Leader, I'm punching out!
         WTF indeed!
      2. Keatah

        Today's Doritos vs Pre-Pandemic Doritos. They are the same size. But thinner. And the total quantity is 0.25 oz less than before. At $6.00 a bag, just no no no.
      3. GoldLeader

        I'm Not a Boomer.  I'm Gen X!  Oh wait...Did   nobody   say...?   ... Ummm eh...Ooohp...Course of habit I s'pose....Nevermind...Carry on...   (heh)
      4. GoldLeader

        @Keatah

        Although,  When it comes to Doritos...HMMmm...Could be that every once in a while,...Well I just gotta have some (price be damned,  Ya gotta live!),...Or it could be that I reward Clever Marketing.  My latest acquisition?  Dorito's "Roulette" chips.  It's a gamble...(They know me too well) SOME may be HOT!  I think they just threw some Flaming Hot into a batch of the Nacho Cheese, put a Roulette Wheel on the cover and *BAM!*,  I couldn't say No.

    • Just downloaded and installed Atari 50 on my VCS. When I try to launch/run it, the screen goes blank for about 5-7 seconds then it takes me right back to where I was before (the dashboard or whatever). Any thoughts?
    • Even though it didn't play particularly great, I loved Sword of Sodan on the Amiga back in the day for its audio-visuals. It was one of those games that didn't translate particularly well from the Amiga to the Genesis for a variety of reasons, including expectations having risen for that type of game. It's the epitome of clunky.
    • @Atarigrub is the real specialist here, I couldn't for the life of me tell you how to do things on a technical level. Something I do know, though, is that the initial recording by Kay Savetz from several years back had music just like on your copy. What I don't understand is why that music disappeared on the tape archived by the Atari Software Preservation Initiative. Hope things are more clear now.
    • Yes, that's possible you are downmixing both left+right tracks together. What is your setup (player, cabling, Audacity settings)?
    • Ah gotcha.    Well as mytek said you could solder the Sophia 2 directly to the PCB. Depends on just how much clearance is needed.  I personally don't like having quality upgrades soldered directly if it can be avoided. A custom pcb adapter board makes sense if you can.    I aquired an 890xl recently with u1mb and VBXE preinstalled and opening it up on arrival I was greeted with completely unexpected sight of both upgrades soldered directly to the XL's pcb. No sockets. Worse, the wiring was soldered directly to the header pins. No dupont connectors. Looks horrible. I am reluctant to desolder and socket both as I don't want to risk damaging either the VBXE or u1mb.
    • Interestingly, they were using a darker blue in the 16K version, compared with the 8K release. All the other colors appear to be the same in both.   As a side note, we used a blue that is right in between the two luminances used here, for Pac-Man Arcade.    Atari 8KB     Atari 16KB
    • Although I'm sure I have the ROM on an Everdrive,   I've never played Sword of Sodan.  What I remember from when I was in a band in the 90's,  was that a loose cart of the game was on the floor where we practiced, off to the side with some other random stuff.  I figure our guitarist (who owned the game) didn't care for it much either, because for years it never moved...implying he never played it.
    • Just curious for those with TT030 and have some TT Ram, what apps or games are you using that utilize that memory?   I see the stock Atari TT Ram board can use 4MB to 16MB, and these newer devices like Storm with TONS of memory, but what have you all found that could use and needed this extra memory.   Just curious.   TJ
