    • If a PC can write the disks from image files, I can easily make them. I have an old legacy system and drives. I would need to order media though.
    • It's no problem. I've had my Jaguars since the 1990s too. I used to visit the billboards, forums, etc (though this was 98-00 when I was online). I guess peoples' involvement in something isn't impressive to me unless they've done something impressive. i.e. Someone can own a NASCAR for 30 years, but if they can't finish a race in the Top 10 after 30 years of racing and bragging, are they an impressive driver? Should I praise all their barely average work? Praising mediocre people makes them think their mediocre work is good, and then they'll never try harder. That's why we've got all these shovelware piles of crap being released now by simpletons that seem to get a chub from getting the 68K to fire, lol. As for the "been there, done that" conversations, it takes a pretty pathetic and tiny little person to want to stop others from having a conversation, just because they had that conversation before. "Gonna be some nice weather today." 'STFU! I talked about the weather yesterday!' That's how fcking stupid that illogical jackassery sounds, lol. Not replying is even easier than replying to say you don't want to reply. I can't believe some of the things I have to explain. But yes, not taking the time to say you don't want to reply is WAY less work than just shutting TF up and not replying. That's just free advice that can help everyone in life.   As for Primal Rage, you're definitely not alone in feeling it's the best Jaguar fighter. I've seen more than a few people with that opinion. I liked it in the arcade, but it didn't really "do it" for me on the Jaguar CD. Then again, it might be like Tempest 2K (for me); that's a very well-made game that I don't like very much. But it's because I'm not that good at it, lol. Maybe the only reason I liked Ultra Vortek so much is that I was good at that.
    • Release 0.2 Now it's a game! Collect hearts and save goats lost in the dungeon and explore the dungeon for points. Choose goat color with select button (and it's possible to choose the flashing radioactive goat color, but that's no longer the default).   goat_dungeon_0.2.bas.bin goat_dungeon_0.2.bas
    • Yes, is true then follow the rule +1 value on my previous post.
    • I had that issue of Happy Computer back then, and remember reading about you and your game in there.. So, thanks for being part of my childhood then, Detlef!
    • It's more or less this: -> colour 0 (black/grays/white) the same on the two; -> then on other colours PAL increments +1 from NTSC. On your example: blue colour 9 turma green colour 10 but the green stays green but is another one (10 is +1 so is colour 11).
    • I read it at Ataricrypt site: "It's amazing how fantastic this thing works: plug it in and power on your Atari ST (mine defaulted to high resolution but that can be changed by holding the top button for a couple of seconds)" .   Btw.  I really don't see need for all electronic for some simple task like this:  switching can be solved with mechanical switch (need multiple type), some resistors, and guess what ? It remembers where was set last time 🙂
    • I suspect the code is the same and doesnt take into account the different palettes between NTSC and PAL.
    • Thanks! Yes, the idea is to call it via X=USR(1536) and it's only a buffer, so it doesn't have to be preserved after exiting the program. So $D4-$FF sound like a large enough area for me to use, thanks!
    • This is assuming a simple USR() call - stuff like DLIs and VBlank NMIs coexist with a running program so would be very restricted.   If no CIO operations are taking place then you could use $20-$2F. $30-$40 is mainly used by SIO and should be able to be safely used. Some other various locations 0-7F can be used but it should be noted that normal allocation of some locations varies depending on OS version. Locations under $14 you want to stay well clear of. Also note most of the lower z-page is cleared on warmstart.   Locations $80-$91 are Basic program pointers which you'd never want to modify - the main danger being if you press Reset while the value isn't valid you'd cause corruption. $92-$CA are various Basic work variables, some of which you could modify but some of which might cause a problem if changed. $CB-$D1 are spare and free to use. $D2-D3 used by Basic. $D4-$F2 used by Floating Point - you could trash these without isse.  But $D4-$D5 is the returned value of the USR call which you might want to set to some value or return code. $F3-$FF you could probably use without issue also.   Note that practically any location you use aside from the mentioned spare/free bytes won't be guaranteed to be preserved once your Basic program resumes after a USR() call. One thing you could do is copy the work area you want to use somewhere else then restore it on exit.  But you have to assume your program might be interrupted by a Reset press which would mean the restore operation is skipped.
