Albert
It's been 21 months since the last release, but the Atari SAP Music Archive (ASMA) is finally back with a new update, containing 308 new tunes. The archive now consists of 2843 songs, totaling 4 days, 22 hours, 10 minutes and 54.5 seconds of playing time. The Atari SAP Music Archive contains the best tunes from Atari 8-bit computers in a format that can be reproduced perfectly by various SAP players. You can get the latest collection of music (Version 3.3) as well as players for a variety of platforms at the Atari SAP Music Archive. Velcro_SP
The Mac player at the website doesn't work very well. Seems to leave out voices and play many songs incorrectly. I have enjoyed the SAP archive previously on Windows and am grateful for the organizers' efforts. I will have to set up my Atari 800 to play some of my favorites. Thanks! spookt
I use Audio Overload by Richard Banister which seems to work quite well. EDIT: Oops, just noticed that's what's linked from the ASMA page. Hmm, I'm using version 2.0 and it sounds OK to me. Is there a particular song that sounds bad that I could test? Hmm, I'm using version 2.0 and it sounds OK to me. Is there a particular song that sounds bad that I could test? Bombay 2 by composer Robert Zaborowski for example. Could be a problem here I guess, but seems some voices are barely audible and others are loud.
