PacManPlus
Hi Guys: I'm a little confused - I was looking through the 'Preview' (just to see what was in it) and surprisingly I saw a review for my game FailSafe. I was pleasantly surprised (thank you). So I bought the full edition. That review is nowhere to be found in the full edition 2. Did I miss something? Thanks, Bob

Thanks, Bob Hi Bob, Failsafe was reviewed in Issue 1 . The sampler comprises bits from the first two issues. Great game by the way!
tkarner
A couple bits of advice for the publisher... Proofread. The Jinks article has a couple of typos. The one that stands out most is when you talk about "ball psychics". Is that anything like ball physics? And what's up with all the digitized babe pictures? I'm certainly no prude. If they contribute something to the story then I have no problem but they seem completely gratuitous to me. Consider this, when someone with my avatar complains about gratuitous digitized babes then you know you've gone too far.
svenski
Bob, I've sent you a PM so you can download Issue 1 which contains the FailSafe review.

RangerG
I love the content and the magazine concept. Also, the articles are a good read - thumbs up. But, the layout to me feels adolescent. You are targeting retro-gamers and many of us are in our 30s and 40s. The digitized bikini girls and other distractions just seem out of place and amateurish. joeventura
Yes I agree lets grow up and lose the headless girl pics. If you look at the preview issue, its: Headless bikini girl pictures, Welcome page, Adult 2600 game review, few more pages, and then another page with a computerized bikini pic. The other content is very good, more of that, less of the cheesecake Edited October 28, 2010 by joeventura
kamakazi
I have to agree. Do away with the digitized girls. My wife seen those and thought I was looking at porn. You might also consider the fact that there might be young readers who are Atari fans. You might want to second guess placing reviews on the X-Rated games that are on Atari consoles in your magazine. Not saying they aren't good games just maybe not something to have to read. I also noticed heavy use of commas when semicolons should of been used or simply the sentence should have stopped there. Don't let these critiques upset you...use them to help make Atari User a better magazine. Great review on Failsafe in the preview!
CurtisP
I really hate to be negative, and don't want to discourage you, but I have to admit that the preview comes across as ameteurish, particularly the lack of copy editing. I'm afraid that this might dissuade others from paying for the actual issues, just as it has dissuaded me.

I do think a new preview issue is needed.
SwedenLynxer
Is this magazine only available as download? I want a paper version.
The_Laird
Is this magazine only available as download? I want a paper version. At the moment yes. But its a PDF so can be printed yourself. There are plans afoot to do a printed version . . . .

The_Laird
Hello, just new to the forum, and looked at the magazine advert. Tried to look for the preview page, but was unable to get it. Where is it located?. Thanks in advance!!! The preview issue was pretty poor and was no near the quality of the actual magazine so it was removed for the moment until we come up with something better. Meanwhile there is a great offer on the first few issues!

krslam
Late to the party here, but I find it strange that you chose the same name as a defunct publication from the early '90s.
svenski
You are late to the party and the name was around long before the early nineties, unless you are referring to the American publication only, which had nothing to do with the UK original. Nuff said?
