What a fun game this really is and so glad that the kind sir was able to make his dream come true and his game available over to the Neo-Geo AES. I was playing this for over 6 hours and glad to invest in this from him. Thank you so much Dr. This really made my day and can't wait to play more of your future titles that will be offered for the Neo-Geo. I also like to say a big thank you to @japangameonline for offering Yo-Yo Shuriken to be published and sold to the public by PM, Ebay page, and off their website. I really appreciate you on accepting my request on shipping No.50 of 50 of the game and looking forward on repeated business. You will always have my support for sure. I personally like to contribute on helping my fellow AtariAge members on their projects (especially Neo-Geo) So when SlidellMan, ColecoGamer, Jag_Mag, Steril707, and the rest in the community have their upcoming titles being planned for the Neo-Geo, I'll be glad to do the same like I done for Dr.Ludos. Thank you again fellas. This made my day.10 points

Hello Guys, https://lotharek.pl/productdetail.php?id=374 🙂 just leaving here, if anyone is interested in my version of hardware.9 points

There's a new v0.30 7800basic release at github. Changes include: feature: integrated project backup. feature: plotsprite4 command added, for generating 4 byte DL objects. feature: PLOTSPRITE and PLOTSPRITE4 commands added, for more efficient looped sprite generation. fix: throw error when plotchars doublewide exceeds 32 characters. (which exceeds the screen width) If you're not regularly backing up your game projects, I urge you to do so now. We've had two developers lose mature projects due to hardware failures in recent history. A thumb drive attached to an unused usb port is a cheap and easy insurance policy. The new backup feature will create a backup of your basic file, included images, mapfiles, and rmt files, every time you compile your game project. The backup goes to a location you specify in your source code. You have a choice of replacing the previous backup with the new one (single mode) or keeping a running history (running mode) The sprite related updates are useful for better efficiency, provided your game design can work with their quirks. (see the "Advanced Spritework" part of the manual). Using 4-byte sprites allowed me to upgrade the 69 Sprite Demo to 86 sprites, thanks to the reduced DMA 4 byte sprites have compared to 5 byte sprites.9 points

I personally think that the 2600+ will have broad appeal to both collectors and newbs who just want to play some Atari on a HDMI screen. I think there will be a mass appeal for it as an impulse purchase for the holidays. There will also be hardcore group that will get their 2600 gaming done in different ways and the 2600+ will not be their preferred product. There are plenty of ways to play Atari, and this will now be another option. At the end of the day, more people playing and appreciating Atari is a good thing.8 points

It’s so weird when people show up in a forum guns blazing, piss off/insult lots of people, then do the “I’m new here” thing as a defense when called out. Like, I’ve gone to places where I was new, I’ve joined new forums or been in RL situations where I don’t know people or customs/etc, but I haven’t had these problems. It’s almost like, as human beings, we should know how to peacefully engage with each other.7 points

The factory have a nifty cartridge that they test every single manufactured unit with. You can see the output in the photo below. Its programmed to test all switches and levers on the unit aswell as Joystick directional movement and 2 fire button presses. For the paddles it checks the fire button and has a cool 0-130 unit scale to ensure the paddle turning is ok.7 points

I'm great thanks. 1. I've not had any concerns raised to me about input lag from people that have played on the machine. I've played on it hundreds on times and its not a concern for me. However peoples own experience may vary as of course the machine runs on emulation. 2. Yes, the system is updateable via the USBC port. 3. I presume you mean modern ARM based multi carts rather then something like Ataris 32in1 cart (which works fine btw). Currently those ARM carts do not work. Here is the cartridge format compatibility list. Bottom three not tested or wont work. 4. Not in its launch firmware. 5. CX40, CX30 and CX78 work. 6. I can ask someone to try this.7 points

Caching ROMs ..... I have an amusing story here, we finished up 2600 gameplay testing earlier on in the year and got a first build with 7800 game compatibility. So I headed over to the Embracer archive to test as many original 7800 carts as I could (they had about 30 games for 7800), 50/50 whether they worked - reasonable start. Weirdly though I came accross a couple of carts that played totally different games, something that I've never experienced before in my life. So I started digging, turns out the dev cached all 58 7800 games and was just checking the cartridges header file and then booting the game from a stored cache of ROMs! So the 7800 software development was scrapped immediately and had to be started afresh with a new developer, which delayed development for a few months but the new guy got there in the end, I've personally checked about 50 of the 58 7800 games released and they all work - the 8 not tested I just havent been able to get my hands on but we're confident they should work.6 points

Yes. PAL and NTSC cartridges (for both 2600 and 7800) work. Will a CX78 Gamepad be released? Its a no brainer really...watch this space.6 points

Yeah its this kind of attitude that drives me nuts. Why take away options? Just because you might have all the carts does not mean everyone else has. If you dont want to use a USB-C to load roms, dont do it. How does someone else using it affect you?5 points

JPF997, you use the term stalker but I do not think it means what you think it means!! Dude you seem like Mr_Me's missing twin but with a less monotone spin to how you respond!! You come in hard talking about the 2600+ and Pat and Ian for some reason.......say you joined AA recently and this is the only game forum you have joined then you get outted when it is shown that you literally joined (or tried joining according to you) then got banned...yes clearly everyone on this thread is the issue and you are the innocent victim in all of this!!! If you wanna talk Amico that is what THIS thread is about....but you seem to like to play the victim while also trying to inflame people with extreme off topic banter..........I will give you this though, you are an amazing train wreck to watch for being "new" to the AA forum as you claim!!!5 points

Takes a special kind of terminally online ( and obsessive stalker apparently) individual to dig up this old nonsense, you could have just asked me about my ( failed) experience with gaming forum's, but no you just had to post this here publicly to get some brownie points .5 points

I didn't say you said it was bad lol. You asked someone to sell you on it and there you go. That's the best I can do. I will say it takes up less space and does have that Atari Junior or Raiders of the Lost Ark, and ET silver and red boxed look to it. But yes its hard to beat the look of the 2600+. But oddly, it might feel weird plugging a 7800 cartridge into a system that looks like a 2600. I mean, if we ARE talking authentic here. Whereas the Gamestation has that early 80's look I mentioned earlier that works for the late 2600, 5200 and 7800.4 points

Yeah Pitfall II and I think there is a couple more obscure games with added chips on the cart that wont work. Having said that someone told me the other day if we read X on the cart and did this it might work. We'll look into it for sure.4 points

No - it was just because he is new to forums, and couldn't figure out the UI here. So confusing having everything organized by System, Category, and Thread.4 points

Yeah, I get it. We all have missteps like that. It happens and it'll pass if you let it. At some point, though, you're gonna have to accept that "ok, this went a bit sideways..." stop arguing with everyone, and just let it go. Move on, have other conversations, blah blah, yadda yadda and you'll find everyone else has let it go, too. But if you keep with the behavior that you've been showing, constantly reminding us all that its "someone else's fault," name calling and such, then I can promise that EVERYONE ELSE isn't just gonna miraculously stop. So it'll continue to be a back n' forth between you and everyone else until you're booted or banned or thread locked something like that.4 points

My take on the Diablo Immoral situation is that ActiBliz are a particularly egregious money grubbing corporation, even by the standards of a games industry that also includes Ubisoft and EA, and that their fans acted like a bunch of crybabies when they started to figure that out. There you go, you really can have that one both ways.3 points

I'm now at that phase in bug testing where I'm tempted to add little features as I fix and adjust the smaller stuff. Some more cosmetic bugs fixed, some additional sounds (check out the Siren Feather when used underwater, for instance), and some color adjustments in the 3 possible endings to the game. SaveKey/AtariVox compatible ROMs (SD Cart or A7800/HSC emulator recommended): HarpysCurse_9_20_2023_BetaG_SaveKey.bas.a78 HarpysCurse_9_20_2023_BetaG_SaveKey.bas.bin Password Only (more emulator friendly): HarpysCurse_9_20_2023_BetaG_NoSave.bas.a78 HarpysCurse_9_20_2023_BetaG_NoSave.bas.bin Happy hunting!3 points
