  1. To MattyXB : I assume that if you can connect Atari Joysticks that it has ports 9pin.....what is the brand of the "NES" is there something written on it or at the bottom, or any indicating text that could lead to what brand it is ?? One thing that you can be sure is that in 100000 games you will be lucky if there are more than 50
  2. No games found (as usual).....but a nice bunch (40 or around) of 8 tracks Musical K7..... Inside was Deep Purple-Fireball, Rolling Stones-Get Yer Ya Ya's Out, Canned Heat , Janis Joplin-Pearl, Pink Floyd-Meddle....the rest were mostly french 70's stuff......A lot of cleaning by the way because it should have reside 20 years in a basement or worse. But here it's scarce to find this kind of K7 so I'm happy (I've paid 12 bucks for it)
  3. Perhaps try to locate Q12 transistor (it seems to be the voltage regulator.. located just beside the only round coil. I f you short quickly the middle leg with the left or right it should power up by itself......but do it quickly and don't short it too long as you put to much power in the whole board. So when bothe contacting it should light the screen . If yes that should be this Q12 which is broken....I came to this conclusion with mine but hAven't taken time to desolder it and find a replacement
  4. Anybody already tries to use Mame on Dreamcast ?? I know it exists some kinda program (MAMED) ? But I was wondering if anybody from AtariAge already tries ? As I own maybe around 600 Mame roms files, I would loveto find an app which I could burn with my whole collection and play on DC as well
  5. Marco and Jah : the 2 Atari Taleebans, kinda integrists That's probably why you should have the bests collections of 2600 . You are not practicing the dispersion, so focused, that's an unbeatable point of view. But I love machines themselves, opening the guts, see what lurks inside (even repairing it if I can) give me the same pleasure as playing with it.....and If I want to play that particular game which is appearing horrible on a 2600 (and there are...), I know I have it on another machine where it looks and feel better, so I power this particular one instead of my good ol' 2600

  7. Thanks for all your tips, my friend will be around Brisbane but as he ain't car a shit about videogames, I hope he will not bring me back the more common carts I could find here But I'll remember and mail him John Sands, Rainbowvision, Supervision carts names and we will see. And maybe around Brisbane he will find this shop full of Segas as well........ I will even don't see him at his return because when he turns back I left for holidays too (after two years of not moving, I went to Bali with wifey and lil' 18 months daughter....GREAT !!)
  8. I just bought a used one yesterday for adding to my collection of Segas. Cool machine it seems and mine is a modified to play Japanese titles as well Have only 4 games with it: the obvious ChuChuRocket - Crazy Taxi and two Japanese ones: F355 Challenge and Super Monaco Grand Prix

Jah: you pay 10 bucks for your Gemini ?? Lucky man, I paid mine 5 times more and I have no sound at all which comes out of that shit (but I like it, cool looking as well). And i will consider modyfing it to chroma/luma/audio Outputs so it will maybe fix, but I must find how to do it first. Spanish guy sells not so high and for shipping, you have the chance to live in Germany so a lot to find in your country, but for me buying from Germany or Spain is the same : I pay a lot of shipping everywhere I buy. Only when I buy in France, because I have a friend in France near my home so all goods I buy goes to him and shipping costs are low and no customs as well. But there are not such good finds in France instead of Germany Adrian: I found the whole set for less than 20 bucks , it's a really cool buy I think. But the thing looks really cheap , and the gun is so cool looking. But my othe NES clone is better (pictures not of mine, but I have the exactly same set). I can put any European NES carts in it without the hassle of the original NES connector: it's toploading like a SNES but with NES carts. MattyXB: they are always claiming a lot of games in it (like 999 in 1 or 200 in 1) but there are rarely more than 20 games inside, rest are cosmetics variations of the same games)

I love them too but sometimes, RF signal is so crappy. I personally own a DAR YAR one with 160 games , it looks like a Darth Vader I remember to have seen 1 month ago on Ebay Spain some clones too but not totally sure if there was a Junior. And I've recently found in a thrift store in Swiss a famicom clone complete with all accessories (all are super light, even the DC supply :-) ) And I also own a NES clone complete set in box too, Mastergames MX-K (looks like a SNES with toploading for NES carts, cool!)
  11. A friend of mine left tomorrow for down under for holidays (bastard ! :-) ) As he will be two weeks in Aussie Land, I was wondering if he could bring me back some good ol' carts or systems that we will never found here (not only Atari by the way) So if a kangaroo boy (or gal) have some titles, tips, must have, whatsoever, please post or mail me as you want Thanks all
  12. I have a tutorial in PDF claimed to burn DC discs on a Macintosh (I'm on Mac too) I didn't read it yet cause I don't have a DC.....ahem that's not true, I decided myself and bought an used one today Anyway, I'll send you this PDF file
  13. Two other handheld sites that are well done and nice to see either MiniArcade.com and handelden.com should better like this

  15. quote: Bangle66 says: How about starting a rarity list. you could get together with others who collect to see what they find rare and have your own list. Yes why not but you know I'm in Switzerland - Europa so the carts here were not the same as in the USA so it will be difficult to put up a list and even I'm not the only swiss people who collect , but we are not a lot
  16. I'm afraid not without modfying the system
  17. Same as a 2600... a 9V DC power supply with the positive at end of the tip and a RF switch with a basic usual cable
  18. I agree totaly with MaO I have played endless hours on my C64 and If I remember well, it was the first talking game which I had on my belvoved Commodore Instant classic
  19. I'm an old fart of 36 First console : Videopac G-7000/Odyssey 2 First computer: Sinclair ZX-81 (followed really fast by a Vic-20 and a C64)
  20. quote You're damn right.....I never found anything for Atari, NEVER But sometimes (as today) some kids are selling games at improvised sales yard...and I have found 25 boxed Megadrive/Genesis games (almost 80 percent with manual), a Game Genie and two arcade joysticks for Megadrive....and for around 50 bucks which is cheap here (and anywhere I think). Some were common, but mostly Uncommon carts as well BUT NO ATARI CARTS !!
  21. I didn't find on the Net a rarity list for Genesis/Megadrive carts.... does it exist ?? Could someone point me to the good link ?? Thanks
  22. Lucky I am !! I've found OBELIX (without P on label), and Snoopy Red Baron So now I've two OBELIX carts as well (with only one manual and no boxes, sigh)
  23. I’ve found in a thrift store a NES pirate console , model S-500 Ending Game Terminator with the two controllers, the light gun, powersupply, RF switch and five carts. Beside the facts that everything is so light (even the power supply is lighter than any ones else I own ), I have a problem with it My problem is that I can’t find the channel and I don’t see anything on screen. Moreover, when I put it on the LED lights on but when a cartridge is inserted then the LED goes off. I’ve opened it and just measured the voltage regulator inside : it pumps out only 2.5 volts. I know that in Atari 2600, it comes 5V out of the 7805 voltage regulator, but on the voltage reg. of the S-500 it is not written anything, so I dunno if 2.5V is correct or if the unit has a problem. So what will really help me is knowing on which channel a usual S-500 should be tuned ?? Or better if anybody know what should comes out the voltage regulator ?? And if you don’t have the information, a good link or e-mail adress will be so helpful. But I have already browsed a little on NesParody, TSR archive and some others List of carts I have found with it : - 9999999 in 1(ref : all japanese written) - 88 in 7 (ref : BL CARD-04) - Hi-Game 1999 FIFA 98 (ref : KT-2062) - Hi-Game 1999 TWIN BEE 2 (ref : KT-3070) - Hi-Games 1999 SUPER GOTCHA (ref : KT-2063)
  24. There are some schematics right on this site...AtariAge got All BTW I have received my "dead " Lynx It's in super cool shape but Battery leaked some in it and the Voltage regulator (Q12) seems to be dead...Hope I will find one and replace it will cure The only thing that annoys me is that the girl who sold it to me didn't mention it was missing the battery cover...Bitch
  25. I have this game in PAL version but it doesn't seem to be in the PAL section, only in NTSC (and rated at 7) Why?
