phaeron, Thanks for the quick feedback. I am musically challenged also, but have 1 Midi keyboard bought many years ago. Thankfully, playing Midi-Maze requires no musical talent, just 2 (or more) computers, each with Midi In and Midi Out ports. Check out the Atari-age thread I listed about and also https://ataribits.weebly.com/midi.html and let me know if your interested in updading Altirra for Midi In. Thanks again for writing such a great emulator. Over the past two weeks I've had time to use Altirra many times to play Atari games. Last night, I was surprised when I clicked on Altirra on my MacMini, and Wine started automatically, updated itself to Wine 2.0 and ran Altirra perfectly.

I added MidiMate to Altirra under the Devices tab, and apparently Altirra only supports Midi Output with the MidiMate. Is this correct? I've attached a M-Audio MidiSport 1X1 USB Midi interface to my Windows 10 machine, and was trying to see if I could get Midi-Maze running, Midi-Maze (.XEX) does lanuch and run in Solo mode, but I did not appear to recognize the M-Audio interface when selecting MidiMate with a single Midi cable attached (looped) as described in post 422 http://atariage.com/forums/topic/269207-midi-interface/page-17

Atari 5-pin DIN monitor output to S-Video / RCA Audio input
Forrest replied to chad5200's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
If you want to make your own cable, you can use a premade MIDI cable to start, cutting the plug off one end. The problem is it's difficult to splice shielded composite video, audio and S-Video cables to this MIDI cable. I made my own cables many years ago, and they eventually broke. -

Good luck making your own cable - it's harder than it looks. I gave up and bought an Atari XL/XE 5-Pin DIN to S-Video & Composite AV Cable for $11.99 plus shipping/tax at https://www.8bitclassics.com/ I got my cable today and it works great. 8bitclassics.com is located in Wisconsin. -

On Altirra, Fuity Pete crashes within seconds under NTSC. The 2nd time it crashed, Altirra recommended switching to PAL. The music sounds too fast, but the gameplay is fine on PAL. -
XE Super Cart 128 - Midi-Maze Offering
Forrest replied to Dropcheck's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
The Deluxe Invaders cartridge is labeled and bagged. What did you do with your Bug Hunt cartridge? I have an M-Audio Midisport 1x1 USB Midi Interface. I wonder if Midi-Maze works under the Altirra emulator using the Midi Interface? I've already confirmed Midi-Maze does work in Solo mode under Altirra. -

I placed Atari size cartridge board in a yellow Deluxe Invaders case - fit fine. I chose this cartridge case because I could see daylight between the two case halves and knew it would be simple to disassemble after removing the 1 screw. I tried it today - works great. -
Bill, that's great news - glad this info can be preserved. Are you planning on bring any of this stuff to VCF East?

Do you have a link to the cartridge shells at Best Electronics? The least expensive I found was Atari Basic Cartridges for $10 -

I'm interested in ordering a cartridge. Can you provide an update on how many cartridges have been ordered so far and when you expect to ship your first batch? -

Walter, That's great news. Is there any program/programs you want to run? -

Considering the cost for the 2 MIDI port version is so low, it would be interesting if the MIDI interface was used for LAN gaming for new games. Has anyone found a small plastic case that fits the 2 MIDI port version?
-
Boards ordered yesterday and parts ordered today for the 2 port interface. All parts except one were very inexpensive, ranging in price from $.05 to $.77 each. The 5 pin DIN MIDI jack was the most expensive item - $1.59 each at Jameco or $3.04 each at Mouser. Since only Mouser had the PIC chips, I placed my order at Mouser.

New compute games from Walmart 5 dollars.
Forrest replied to Elvis's topic in Modern Gaming Discussion
That don't make games the way they used to. Last weekend I installed Quake 3 Arena (released in 1999), Unreal Anthology (Unreal, Unreal Tournament, Unreal 2 and Unreal Tournament 2004), and Unreal Tournament 3 on my Windows 10 computer. I was able to install all from original CD/DVD's and all ran fine after updating with the latest patches. -

coleco82, Congrats on setting up your RPI 3B+. I setup my first system about 3 months ago and was also surprised how easy it was to install RetroPi and the OS. -

I bought Recore for XBox One awhile ago, and like it a lot. It reminds me of Borderlands, but it's not multiplayer. Recore has a low learning curve and the game play is simpler than many first person shooters. Most reviewers gave it 7 out of 10 stars. -
It occurs to me that you won't be able to use the 2 port SIO2MIDI device (post #332) AND a SDrive-Max at the same time, because both do not have a second SIO port for daisy-chaining. Could a computer power both over SIO at the same time? If so, could a second SIO port be connected easily?

How about dressing up the 1050 case with some vinyl wrap. Look how the80sman dressed up his Atari Flashback Ultimate with wood grain and a Centipede image http://atariage.com/forums/topic/275619-the-raspberry-pi-and-retropie-discussion-thread/page-8?do=findComment&comment=4145295 Carbon Fiber would look great https://vvividshop.com/- 1,001 replies

Pot is short for potentiometer The one I referred to in my post was next to or part of the RF modulator. I'm not familiar with the Super Video 2.1 mod - it may have it's own pot.
