  1. That's what I used when I had a Lynx.. you can fit 2 Lynx carts in a single GB cart box.
  2. I have one Albert.. I'll see if I can scan it in.. it's a fan-fold one that's in the shape of a Lynx I
  3. I have a silver-labelled Space Invaders... with the blue text end label from the "picture" version
  4. I don't know if this really qualifies as an Easter Egg... but on Midway's Gauntlet Legends (for PS1) and Gauntlet: Dark Legacy (for PS2.. a BIG improvement over GL), pay close attention to the gate of the graveyard and you will see: A T A R I A ^_^
  5. - Actually, there were many trilingual games released INSIDE the United States.. I have a couple myself. - The JaguarCD will change the boot title screen (with the Jaguar Logo) to different random "eye-candy" versions... I don't know if this is just for CDs yet, haven't had much chance to try it.
  6. quote: Originally posted by Raccoon Lad: Here's a game idea "Captain Jerk" (working title) You play as a psychotic ass-hole who chases after someone in their car. Maybe instead of chasing a person, you could chase a chicken or something, but the point of the game is to splatter your opponent with your car. you'd have to chase them around trees and into buildings while avoiding things they knock over to slow you down as well as potholes and such, but to even up the score you'd be able to pick up a powerup and get a burst of speed. It could even have silly pacman-esque intermissions. By the way, I forgot to mention in my previous post that I work for free. Have you by any chance watched the movie Death Race 2000 lately?
  7. My number 1 request for this CD would be: MacOS support (perhaps even Carbonized so it'll work natively on MacOS X). I don't have a Windoze PC so I wouldn't be able to play it at all if it didn't have this feature. As for the extras, PDF's and most movie formats work on the Mac
  8. Actually, I had an idea inspired by the guys who were working on programming for the 5200... ..the keyboard's connector fits perfectly into the 5200's controller ports. Having a keyboard would open up more genres of games.
  9. Has anyone found the pinout for the XEGS keyboard? The owner's manual only has pinouts for the other common Atari 8-bit connectors, but nothing on the keyboard. (Even the keyboard's manual has no pinout information) The Atari 8-bit FAQ doesn't even have it.
  10. From the interview with the Fireworld winner, he indicated there was a "tournament" version of Fireworld .. so there are probably "tournament" versions of at least Earthworld and Fireworld.. possibly also Waterworld... So, technically, there can be up to 6 SwordQuest games (so far).
  11. I'm interested in the following... quote: Originally posted by JagDiesel: Coleco Adam Computer NIB then the 2600 games by maker: CBS - Blue Print Atari silver - Krull Atari red - Midnight magic Atari red - Solaris Atari black - 01 combat Sears - Outer Space(pic) Sears - space invaders(text) Sears - Stellar track(text) Sears - Missile command(t) Sears - football(text) Sears - poker plus(text) 20th Century - Deadly duck 20th Century - fantastic voyage US Games - Name this game US Games - squeeze box Apollo - racquetball Apollo - wabbit Data Age - Bermuda triangle Data Age - bugs Konami - pooyan Activision - Private eye Xonox - chuck norris/artillery duel Parker Bros. - Jedi Arena Parker Bros. - Emp. strikes back Imagic - riddle of the sphinx Imagic - solar storm Telesys - cosmic creeps Mythicon - star fox Froggo - Karate Froggo - task force Froggo - sea hunt Froggo - sea hawk SpectraVideo - china syndrome SpectraVideo - planet patrol
  12. Hey Diesel, could you send me a list of the Atari carts you have available to wntermute@home.com? I might be interested in the Adam.. does it run Colecovision carts (I have like 1 or 2 but no console)?
  13. Albert, you can find scans of all three comics at this site: http://www.tripoint.org/sq/sq.html You might need the guy's permission to copy the pics, but they're all there. The amnesia angle in the third one was interesting.
  14. I know that once SwordQuest Earthworld was released, it was planned to be the first part of a 4-part series... but it appears months earlier it was planned to be only TWO parts.. check the Coming Attractions page from this Atari catalog.. so maybe Waterworld and Airworld were just after-thoughts. http://www.atariage.com/catalog_page.html?...&currentPage=46
  15. I have three catalogs that can be added: one that doubles as a poster, the later "Atari Stars" catalog and a similar 5200 catalog.. they're both huge single sheet fold-out monsters.
  16. BTW.. Andrew, what IS that white & blue thing on your avatar?
  17. My high score on Mines of Minos is around 2080. ^_^ (Hence my title)
  18. Yeah, I was just going to say it's probably a Nintendo.. though they may be bordering on "false advertising" since the Popeye shot is a MAME screenshot (I used to have MAME32 on a PC at work and the screenshot packs had that white bar at the bottom that said what version the game was added)
  19. Actually, I think it depends on the game. With the original VCS, the switches are just 'A' and 'B'. With most games using these to mean "Advanced" and "Beginner", respectively. But, since there wasn't really a standard and the labels can pretty much mean anything.. some game companies made 'A' easier and 'B' harder (working in a progression kinda thing.. from a different point of view). The case here is that Sears went ahead and actually labelled what most games used.. one as a 'Normal' and one as an 'Expert' difficulty. So when you get one of those off-brand games in the system, 'Expert' may be easier than 'Normal'.
  20. Atari sound effects and screens in movies... I can certainly name a couple: - Airplane: 2600 Basketball on one of the rader screens - Airplane II: Yars' Revenge sounds when the guy fiddles with the autopilot machine in Houston Ground Control - My Blue Heaven: 2600 Pac-Man sound effects from a NES! (During Rick Moranis's motel stakeout)
  21. I have more Asteroids than ET and Pac-Man combined
  22. hmmm.. maybe we should start a "What systems do you collect for?" thread heh
  23. mmm Chocolate Chip cookies... Just be glad they're not EPROM chip cookies. ^_^
  24. I haven't opened my 7800.. but I do have an 84 copy of Pole Position II
  25. All three Intys are Mattel Intellivision I's.. (no Sears or RadioShack clones) I'll let you know when I expect to be in Mesa next.
