  1. I have a 46" 3D TV, but the only thing I played for longer than a couple minutes was Call Of Duty: Black Ops. FPS games look a bit different in actual 3D. Just need to get the TV back in place and set up.

  2. At one point, I started a project to map out all the video game mergers and acquisitions. Currently, Taito's owned by Square Enix.. and they never had much to do with pre-crash systems.

Namco or Activision-Blizzard would be among my guesses. Given the hint that Curt gave.. I'd even go so far as to say possibly even Sega or Nintendo. The latter of which would be quite hilarious, given the history between Atari and Nintendo (insomuch as the 7800 was released in lieu of an Atari-branded Famicom and this new hardware is based on the 7800).

  3. Sorry for taking so long on this. All the empties I have are currently stored in large plastic storage bins that I'm unable to move on my own and haven't had any success in getting help to make them available to count out. But I did manage to whip up a storefront w/SSL and ordered some USPS Flat Rate Priority boxes, so I'll theoretically be able to take orders for them once I have a good idea how many of each type I have.

Stan: I believe I have some multiple-DVD cases in there somewhere. I know there were some import anime DVDs I have that came in standard-sized cases that were 3 or 4 discs. I just don't know how many I have at the moment.

Ax: All my cases are from a smoke-free environment. About the only thing wrong with any of them is a small number of PS2 cases got clawed by my cat. If I can help it, those won't be going out to anyone any time soon, but I believe I have some cases that will fit your bill. Now, it's just a matter of getting to them.

  4. I know this is an older game by now. I picked it up when it was on sale for $8 or so with the Time Savers and Boost Specials packs on PSN. I had played the demo just a little bit and had an idea what the game was about. Recently, I started playing it to see how fun it was... and I'm sorry I waited.

I'm not usually one for racing games (I don't even drive IRL due to being prone to panic attacks) but the added modes of Marked Man and Road Rage make this quite fun to me. Just a few days after playing it for a bit, I've gotten all the billboards, gates, and jumps finished plus all the original bike Road Rules. I'm now working toward the rest of the main game's trophies (I have both of the Boost Special DLC trophies now), so let me know you're from AA if you see me online.

  5. Kotaku indicated there IS a way to opt-out of the class-action waiver.

    http://kotaku.com/5840517/new-playstation-network-terms-of-service-include-a-no-suing-sony-clause

RIGHT TO OPT OUT OF BINDING ARBITRATION AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER WITHIN 30 DAYS. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE BOUND BY THE BINDING ARBITRATION AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER IN THIS SECTION 15, YOU MUST NOTIFY SNEI IN WRITING WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE DATE THAT YOU ACCEPT THIS AGREEMENT. YOUR WRITTEN NOTIFICATION MUST BE MAILED TO 6080 CENTER DRIVE, 10TH FLOOR, LOS ANGELES, CA 90045, ATTN: LEGAL DEPARTMENT/ARBITRATION AND MUST INCLUDE: (1) YOUR NAME, (2) YOUR ADDRESS, (3) YOUR PSN ACCOUNT NUMBER, IF YOU HAVE ONE, AND (4) A CLEAR STATEMENT THAT YOU DO NOT WISH TO RESOLVE DISPUTES WITH ANY SONY ENTITY THROUGH ARBITRATION.

So basically, you have to do the old-fashioned "write your thoughts on paper and mail it in" thing.

  6. I'm not sure if the Sega Genesis stick I have is the one you list as "Sega Genesis Arcade Fightstick", but you may want to note which of the AtGames Genesis devices have SD card slots. Mine definitely does.

    It's this model:

They offer a handful of extra games here:

  7. Sorry for the delay in info.. lungs haven't been exactly cooperating 100% lately.

I'll be counting cases available shortly and will look into making a Paypal order page or something for everyone to put their picks in.

As far as the type of cases, I know for a fact I have the following:

    Blu-Ray

    - Blue Blu-Ray style (single & double-disc)

    - Clear PS3 style (single disc)

    DVD

    - Bluish-black PS2 style single-disc w/ memory card holder

    - White Wii-style single-disc

    - Opaque green Xbox-style single disc

    - Translucent green 360-style single disc

    - Black DVD style single-disc w/ chapter page clips

    - Black DVD style single-disc w/ eco cutouts

    - Clear DVD style single-disc w/ chapter page clips

    GC-style Mini-disc

    - Black GC style with memory card holder

I know don't have any of the WB-style cardboard/flap cases available (I haven't moved any of that style to sleeves and only have like 2 or 3 total anyway) and I don't have any multi-disc that hold more than 4 or so discs available. The larger-style multi-flap case art doesn't fit in the sleeves, so I haven't moved any of those.

  8. As a starting point Expansion Module games will have much better sound. The Expansion Module has several NES like mappers to assist the CPU when dealing with certain techniques used in games. That means that less CPU cycles are lost handling MARIA. The extra CPU cycles could be used to move more things on screen, better opponent AI etc (its a long list ;)).

So, you're saying that the XM is how you solve a problem like MARIA? :D

(Thumbs up to those who get it)

  9. I've changed over the bulk of my video game, anime, and movie collection to DiscSox disc sleeves and now have a metric f-bomb-ton of leftover cases of all kinds:

    - CD Jewel Boxes (half, single, and double-width)

    - DVD Amaray Cases (single black, double black, PS2 card slot, Xbox green single, Wii white single, Gamecube minidisc single w/ card slot)

    - Blu-Ray cases (single, double, eco, clear PS3, and red PS3)

    Does anyone need any?

  10. A good friend and I are working on something, hopefully for the spring - it WONT be Atari branded, but it will be a portable and will be 2600/7800...

Since it would have a FAT16 compatible SD Card slot and no cartridge slot, no the Harmony would not work with it.

My wallet is weeping at this news. :D

  11. And took away...

    A Game of Concentration

    BASIC Programming

    Blackjack

    Breakout

    Casino

    Codebreaker

    Star Raiders

    Street Racer

    Video Olympics

    Warlords

I can understand the removal of the paddle games if there are no paddle controllers included. Also, didn't Curt say there was some special electrical requirement for the keyboard/touchpad controllers that couldn't be met with the new hardware?

  12. Only problems I've encountered are jumping across open shafts.. it doesn't always accept the jump button press, so I go tumbling across the shaft to the next floor down.

In any case, it's pretty fun.. gonna have to go back and try for gold on the early levels.

I have the original on Taito Legends for PS2 and PSP .. plus Elevator Action Returns on Taito Legends 2. Looks like there's also two older Game Boy versions that weren't released here (Elevator Action EX for GBC and Elevator Action Old & New for GBA) in their original forms.. Dexter's Laboratory: Robot Rampage is theoretically Elevator Action EX with Dexter's Lab characters.

  13. It seems to me that Atari is becoming a broken record when it comes to compilations. It's the same set of 2600 games they released on the PS1, adding a couple each time (like the inclusion of the keyboard controller games with this last one.. finally they get some time in the sun).

How about some 5200 games or another go at 7800 games? 5200 would work nicely with modern analog controllers.
