I have both Han Solo trilogies, the old Brian Daley set where Han was dealing with the Corporate Sector and the newer one that tells the whole backstory (the old trilogy is mentioned in a paragraph or two along with the Lando trilogy) where his would-be girlfriend at the time ended up getting the plans off to his wife-to-be before they even met.

I'm getting some DiskSox storage sleeves for some of my stuff to save space and possibly get more things onto the shelves. I got a mismatched set already.. CD tray and PS3/BluRay sleeves. So now I'm waiting on some CD sleeves and a tray the PS3 sleeves will fit into.

Wouldn't that be St. Pac-trick's Day?

Is it a good Idea to microwave this to be microwaving Atari 2600
Wntermute replied to BDW's topic in Atari 2600
Actually, I noticed that Season 1's list consisted of mundane kitchen and household items. It took them 120 episodes to get to anything more dangerous than variations of lights & batteries, like thermite. The airbag... that one just took the cake. I'm really surprised it only took out one pane of glass (and a microwave ... and blew the door 30 feet away). -

Here's another Atari-related video.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svu2M8Y0NAU And more video game related videos.. And for plain old dangerous microwave fun.. Box of Wine (Not from the show) - More info.. List of everything microwaved "Is It A Good Idea To Microwave This?" Show link -

I was inspired to work on the wiring today, which is a big deal in my condition. I got quite a bit done, with help from my clone. - TV: Component video game input changed to component switchbox. Digital cable DVR on main Component input. PS3 on HDMI input. S-VHS VCR on Composite/S-Video input (for potential TwinGalaxies recording) - Component Switchbox: Now handles Xbox 360, Xbox, and PSP-2000 cables. (For some reason, the front input is composite + S-Video) - S-Video Switchbox: Previously just the Wii. Now also Dreamcast and a standard Nintendo S-video cable (for SNES or N64, whichever I find the power supply for first) - Composite Switchbox: Previously just the Flashback 2 and Star Wars Plug & Play. Added XEGS, but found an EM hum on one of the inputs. Probably need to fix or replace this switchbox. - Power: All surge suppressors were moved under the shelving and each socket outfitted with short extension cords. * Xbox 360: Already ready. Moved to component switchbox from direct TV component input. * Playstation 3: Already ready, no wiring changes. USB keyboard moved to top of console for storage. Dualshock 3s and Sixaxis controllers powered and ready. * Flashback 2: Already ready, no wiring changes. 2 standard Atari joysticks ready. * Wii: Already ready, no wiring changes. Wiimotes and Wavebirds powered and ready. * XEGS: Connected to power and composite video. 1050 drive already connected via SIO and power. Standard XEGS-styled joystick ready. Verified it's ready to go via built-in Missile Command. * PSP-2000: Already ready. Added TV output cable to the Component switchbox, at the ready. + Xbox (Main): Wasn't hooked up to video, just power. Got it hooked up via component video. Controllers in storage. + Dreamcast: Moved on top of 1050 drive and connected to power + S-Video switchbox. Controllers in storage. - Genesis 1 (SMS Power Base Convertor): Not connected. Controllers ready. - Genesis 2 (Sega CD & 32X): Not connected. Controllers ready. (A ton of them!) - Gamecube: Not connected. Controllers utilized by Wii. - NES: Moved into temporary shelving position. Controllers in storage. - N64: Moved into temporary shelving position. Controllers in storage. - SNES: Moved into temporary shelving position. Controllers in storage. - Xbox (Backup): Moved into temporary shelving position. Controllers in storage. Just need to find the power supplies and controllers.

As I tell everyone: I've never claimed to be sane.. or human.. or mortal. Currently, I have the following systems ready to use at a moment's notice: Apple Macintosh (Intel Mac w/ DOSBox & Bootcamp running Vista Ultimate) Atari Flashback 2 (not modded) Microsoft Xbox Microsoft Xbox 360 Nintendo DS Lite (DS & GB/GBC/GBA games) Nintendo Wii (Gamecube-ready plus Virtual Console) Sony Playstation 3 (original 20GB BC-capable version, so PS1 & PS2 also) Sony Playstation Portable Star Wars Ep3 Plug & Play (w/ Gamekey) Sudoku handheld The following systems are on the shelf waiting to be powered and/or connected to video: Atari XEGS w/1050 disk drive Nintendo Gamecube w/ Gameboy Player Sega Dreamcast Sega Genesis 1 w/ Power Base Convertor (SMS games) Sega Genesis 2 w/ Sega CD & Sega 32X (I have no idea what cords are required to get this monstrosity up & running to its fullest potential.. but theoretically it should rock once it's hooked up right) The other systems are currently in storage, but will be going on the shelf once I get the energy to do so. I already need to rewire some of it. Once the system shelving is done, I'll take a picture.

The top section is made from 2 DVD storage shelves inverted and cut to fit. The bottom section is a set of shelves I got from Target.com: Quad Media Tower - Cherry/Black.

I know I've posted these pics somewhere else, but it's fun to post these. Note: I don't have the 2600 & 7800 cartridges on the shelf as of yet and I don't have the systems shelving all together yet.

If you have any PS1 or PS2 multiplayer games that require a multi-tap, you need to match the multi-taps to the games too. I have a third-party one that'll do both.. you can actually connect up to 5 PS1/PS2 memory cards and have the browser see them. It's cool having more than 3 icons in the browser, if only for moving saves around...don't know of any games that'll actually see more than 2 cards.

grand theftendo question for nes?
Wntermute replied to bluetriforce's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Accessible though Game Genies, right? 896188[/snapback] Yeah, but you need like 4 of them in series to input all the codes. -
Actually, I'm Wntermute.. Moonsweeper is just a forum title. I'm sure you're not "Chopper Commando" hehe. Anyway, yes, Radio Shack does normally stock the TV/Game switches. The main one you'd be looking at is the Video/Game Built-In Signal Splitter (Item 15-1268). It looks like the original 2600's 300-ohm switch with 75-ohm (modern cable coax) connectors added on. It's around $10, but you get the nostalgic "switch" action and doesn't interfere with existing cable setups. The Coaxial adapter that was mentioned is shown on AtariAge's "How To Connect Your Old Game System" page, it is listed at Radio Shack as Gold-Plated "F" Connector (Item 278-276). This one is under $5, but you give up having another coax input to switch to. This is good for TVs that'll see single-use as just game system monitors. On another note, most of the older game systems don't provide a signal strong enough to trip the Automatic RF game switches that were featured with post-crash systems like the NES, SNES, and Genesis. One of these days I'll get pics of my setup and show how I get everything going through my VCR for TG purposes.

Sounds like the 4-switch woodgrain.. (Since the Vader says 2600 on the front)

I'm in the G.A.P. and yes, your name does get put into consideration for beta testing if you choose so in your profile. I haven't seen much about it other than a small survey once or twice a month.
-
That seems like a lot of trouble for a few games. I'm aware of swap tricks but I figured he'd want the utility disc for the utilities. I just added a hard drive to my PS2 and bought this nifty program called HDAdvance. Much simpler than trying to play "beat the clock" with two CDs.
-
Besides, this is a rarity GUIDE... not a rarity BIBLE. As someone who used to be big in collecting Star Wars toys, rarity for one particular item is different for each person. Condition and production variations should be taken into account.

I've mainly used my network adapter to play the online betas that I keep getting. (In fact, I was in the beta for the network adapter itself). The only online-capable release game I have for the PS2 is Star Wars Battlefront, which I only played once online... too many idiots with offensive names that my clone (thankfully) misread when I was on.

What sort of utilities are you looking for?

Circuit City Summer Clearance 7/3/2005
Wntermute replied to holygrailvideogames.com's topic in Modern Gaming Discussion
Well, I went to the two Circuit City locations near me.. - Scottsdale, AZ (Scottsdale Rd & Mayo Blvd): Only had a small selection on a standup rack near the door. Generally ignored by staff. - Salt River Indian Reservation, AZ (Pima Rd. & Indian Bend Rd.): A salesgirl noticed I was looking for something from a list before I noticed the clearance bin. (The bin was kinda hidden past the cash register in the game nook/section). There was a sizable clearance bin with a good variety of titles. After I started looking through the bin, she even offered to show me the list and it pretty much matched up with what was posted. Very good service there. I didn't buy anything at the first one, but at the second one I picked up Baten Kaitos for GC and Second Sight for Xbox. I also picked up Animal Crossing for GC even though it wasn't on clearance. -
Speaking of Metroid.. http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=153
