thats one of the games I want to get! Good game???
-
As far as I'm concern, its still better then anything out on the market today! The only reason The Lynx can't get on top again is You can't go to Toys-R-Us or Walmart (or what ever toy store is Closest) and pick up a new Lynx or accessory or a new Songbird release...

Unless somone posts the answer first, I will try to open up one of my units and find the value of Q12 for you. I tried to look up on a schematic I have, but I couldn't find Q12.
-
I don't have mine with me right now, but off the top of my head, you need 9Vdc with 1.2 Amps. I think it is tip positive... I look when I get home tonight and let you know for sure. I never measured the tip size, but You could find that out by trying out the tips at Radio Shack even if you don't buy it there...

I would sugest getting your hands on a NONworking unit and trying it...THEN LET US ALL KNOW...
-
That's not bad... At $55 total, figure you paid about $4.50 per game (those are common games you got and not worth much more then $5 each) and got the Lynx II for free... Always a good deal if you can get something for free... Good deal over all!

I never really liked this game, but I'll take a look at mine and see what the game controls are like.

That’s the advantage about being a collector and a gamer. There are some games I got strictly to say I had them and found out I liked them! For me, I though..... · Batman Returns got old quick. · Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure I thought was fun, but it is hard to get around the monsters to get the notes. I got upset because I kept starting over. · Dracula, well I have to agree with Tom-lynx. quote The only real two complaints I have about the game are its color pallet is done in browns, blacks and tans to give you the feeling of reading an old book. It makes it hard to see the true game play. That's one of the reasons I want to try the Sega super wide screen you have bergbros. The other complaint is you can’t save your games. (I would love to devote some time and money into figuring out a way to save games. This would be a great thing to keep in mind if there is anyone seriously considering a Lynx III someday) · Scrapyard Dog I think is a “Cute” game… Reminds me of Mario Brothers. My wife likes this one, but I haven’t spent that much time looking at it. I never liked Mario Brothers either… · Gauntlet I got board with but admit that I don’t have an owner’s manual with it, so I am probably missing something. Owner’s manual or not, I don’t think a lot of time was spent on developing the graphics. It could have been a lot better had the developers at Atari relied more on the Lynx ability to display 3D graphics. · Power Factor: I thought this one was fun. I haven’t gotten very far, but I do like this one! · Paperboy is fun but I’m not very good at it. I remember not being very good at it in the quarter arcades as a kid either… Hum… · Switchblade: I have not given this one much time. Reminded me of Ninja Gaiden a little but I think I would rather play Gaiden. · Toki: On my list to find (anyone have an extra copy they want to trade???) · Turbo Sub: To once again quote the words of Tom-lynx, quote Enough said… · Viking Child: I like this one. It reminds me of Scrapyard’s game play, but I do like it… I hate trying to get pass the small rats or what ever they are though. Once again... These are just my opinion at the time I tried them... I strongly sugest picking them up anyways and trying them...You can always sell or trade them later if you don't like them...

quote That's why there is a switch... You can switch back to normal speed if you need... I'm just not sure if it's really worth trying this... Is it really that improved? Also, from the sounds of it... It's not that reliable to do... quote

The link you gave above does not seem to be working...

quote They are good for not only keeping the scratches off the lynx screen, but the are needed if you are going to play out doors in the sun. I use mine with a car adaptor when I go on Lunch break at my office complex during the day. GunStar was just telling us about magnifier screen that will fit on the Lynx (go see the following link Want a bigger screen for your LYNX? By the way ZANZA, did you ever get a sunvisor? I still have one if you want it. I just need to know where to send it....
-
Just seems funny... Of course a part that fits the Lynx is harder to find then the System it's self... All a part of the fun of collecting Atari!!!
-
I can't remember about the Lynx I, but I do have a actual manual that I have scaned and gave to a few people for the Lynx II
-
THANKS AL!!! Keep up the great work! This is the best Atari Lynx site on the WEB... But I bet you already knew that!!!
-
quote That's strange, I can see the image on my side... Good question for one of the Al's...

I've been trying to even find a GameGear extra wide with no luck here in New England! I looked at the mag lens for the GBA, but it does not fit and I didn't see anything elts that would fit the Lynx. As far as posting an Image... It's easy! The Coke Can was a test. Just click on "IMAGE" when you post. A window will come up. Just type in your files directory. for example the coke can is on my C drive so I typed in " C:canclosed.jpg "... That's all there is to it! I hope you can post an image of your Lynx with the Extra wide on it now for us! Also, anyone know where to find the extra wide? The Lynx systems are easier to find!!!!!
-
Hi z_a_n_z_a , I think I have an extra... New unopened... I bought it from eBay, but recently I got another Lynx II that came with one. Would you be interested in buying or trading for it? I'll look to see what I paid for it and get back to you. Let me know your general location so I can see what it would cost to snail mail it to you... Videology

Warbirds is a great game! You have the option to go up against the red barron...

I also have just started being a collector of the Lynx. I got my unit in 1989 with one game. It went into storage shortly after that when I went over seas for military duty. I just recently pulled my Lynx out of a storage unit and feel the system blows away any other handheld system out there including the all-powerful GBA!!! My system has grown to include around 30 games and 5 systems (I and II). I hope to eventually own everything available for the system… Including the new releases… I love my Lynx systems compared to the newer systems on the market. There is a point where the system gets too small... I get a headache trying to see the unimpressive small screen on the GBA system. The Idea of needing a magnifier to make the image larger is funnier then needing a battery pack larger then the system to run a full game on the Lynx... I am limited by time and money! I would love to see companies such as Songbird putting out new stuff for the Lynx! I have gotten my Grandson his own Lynx and he loves it over the GBA. (I'm not trying to pick on just the GBA) If only we could make items for the Lynx more available on the consumer market: something a new generation could easily get. I work as a Research & Development Engineer and would love to see about the improvement of the Lynx system and it's accessories, but it takes Time and money... Neither do I have much of...

My error... It was called "Road Burners" not blasters... Here is a link to what the game I was talking about: http://www.klov.com/R/Road_Burners.html Anybody know anything about it???? anyone know anything about agames.com???
-
I was at a local WalMart store in Rhode Island when I noticed an Atari Coin op game in their entry area: "Road Blasters". What can you all tell me about this game? I was trying to get info on it but was getting nowhere at the store or on line today. There was a sticker on the unit that gave a web site of agames.com but I could not find it today... Is someone producing new game systems and using the Atari Logo or do you think someone just had a vintage coin-op? Keep in mind, I'm a lynx collector, but the Atari Logo was what cought my eye...
-
Where did you put your system up for sale at? I'd be interested in knowing what you get for it.......
-
Don't know if you got my e-mail or Not, But I live in RI as well. I will trade you your system plus $30.00 for a good unit (Lynx II) Let me know if you want to...

quote: posted 03-29-2002 by: Songbird: I think it would be really cool to make a Lynx game some day. You think your funny don't ya How many NEW games you got out now? Sounds like Sauron is looking for a job. Got any openings over at Songbird? I know of a few programs you could work on releasing...
