Sure you can disagree. It is also pretty easy to say that when you are not the one that might get sued by a company when releasing it. (Might be Disney now in your example.) Also we do not have any information about what measures have or have not been taken to preserve what is there. But the main point is that I don't get negativity. It's like trading stories around the fire, that's half the fun I take from this community for the last twenty years or so. It's like I said above, I don't get why someone would rather not want to hear the story and instead resort to insults if they can't have what was found and somehow feel entitled to it. It completely ignores the worries of the people that would make it possible in the first place. Would you risk your neck for some people on the net who simply want what you found and then finding that others profit from that on top of it? The dick move might be not to care about any of that as long as one gets what is desired.

I don't quite get why you regard this as "teasing". Would you rather not want to know that a working copy of the game exist? This is a cool information even if the game itself will never be released. Some years ago I went to a Jagfest and was able to see a work in progress of it and play it with a trainer enabled, so I could play it for a long time and that was awesome. Would I like to own it myself? Sure. But to call it toxic and disrespectful, when lots of information including videos of the otherwise unreachable levels is shared and very reasonable reasons are given why a release seems unlikely... really? I'd rather try to take the positive aspects from that. There are lost games out there which we have only like ten second videos of. Soul Star could be just a corrupted copy floating on the net (which btw was already pretty cool to check out and try ways around the bugs back in the day). And now we are able to see even more of it ... That is a win even in its lost game state.

Anyone still playing online with an Xbox 360
PeterG replied to Gamemoose's topic in Microsoft Xbox 360
Thanks man, appreciated your answer. Turns out the new password I use is too long for entering in the 360, so I had to go the other way to get the app password. Pretty convoluted way for just activating an old console but it worked out in the end and it went live again -
Anyone still playing online with an Xbox 360

Would there be any reason why I can't log in to my account with an Xbox 360? It worked for the Xbox one s, one X, series s and series X but for some reason it refuses to let me go online with my 360. -
Nice haven't seen this bit yet although it is of course only a bit of (cringy) marketing bla bla "to meet high standards ofgraphics appeal and incorporate the "fun factor" for whichAtari products are so well known" but yeah still interesting to read, so thanks for sharing. Was this in a newsletter or where did it originate?

You could have googled it, than you might have found something like this post including screenshots: http://www.atarijaguar.co.uk/2014/10/total-recall.html

The Carribean Tavern - GemTOS 2023 Plouf Of Concept release
PeterG replied to Fadest's topic in Atari Jaguar
This looks cool, I really enjoyed North and South back in the day although I really sucked at it too. Always felt like no matter how I move, the other dude gets more troops, more trains, money etc. Gonna try it out later, thanks for sharing. -
https://web.archive.org/web/20140915073222/http://justclaws.atari.org/jagudome/towerview2.html Just had a look according to that interview the original version was around 12 FPS, but in any case the improvements sound good nonetheless 🙂

Yes this sounds really cool. I only finished the game once but for a short period of time I was kind of obsessed with it. I can't quite put the finger on it but somehow the game managed to feel bigger as it was. I think I only used the levitation spell once to get out of a pit or through a hole in the ceiling or something but this left the door white open for the possibility that there might be a secret space or something and looking for new weapons and items. Anyway, very cool to get a new version so many years later, might be the right time for another playthrough. Cool list of enhancements, I didn't see it on the page either, so thanks for posting.

Awesome that they were still interested in the Jag. I enjoyed the interviews with Vince valenti if I remember the name right. Seemed like a cool dude so that is fitting. Congrats Carl.

Lol, seems I was exactly as unsure about the save glitch in 2014 as I am now. But the search function provides a lot of info about Skyhammer.:D

Yeah it doesn't happen every time, it's a possibility and the odds are bigger with really big enemy groups. There was also some other bug when exiting the shops, but I don't quite remember how that was. I just know that the workaround was to immediately reenter the shop after saving and then leave and continue the mission. So yeah you can make it far into the game if you are careful. I started a new play yesterday, was inspired by this thread.:)

Awesome. How did you manage the big battlegroups? For me the game would regulary crash there. At some point I got used to fly by radar and just bomb everything from above so that the engine would not come to a halt and eventually crash.
