I think Natham strum labels are the best, i realy buy a game with this label, and i think thats the goal of a good label, make you whant to buy the game.

I'm somewhat ashamed to admit this, but I cannot for the life of me tell what the illustration is supposed to be in Joel Peguero #s 1 & 2 labels. Anyone help me out?

To get to the top floor you will need to race along each floor of the building to the stairs, my label are stairs, but in a minimalistic way, open you're mind to see diferent thins.

I realy like the label, but spire 8 have to learn how to read someone else opinion with out getting mad, he open my eyes, so i can see how u people realy work, and i was'nt mad, i realy appreciate that, so in the next contest, you'll have a very tuff competicion from me. jajajaja, and i realy like nathan Strum black label, that was the one i realy like, good work nathan, and congrats spire 8. ,

Hmmm... I don't know about the respect part but there are plenty, literaly hundreds of thousands of images on every subject that are already in the public domain and 'royalty-free' for anyone to use professionaly and commercialy on their own works. In most cases, you could'nt give credit where it was due as nobody knows who the original artists were on most of the stuff because the art are so old and/or the artist is no longer living or their name was never documented.

 

I wasn't referring to works in the public domain, but works that are recent and have active copyrights. I've had some of my stuff ripped off before and I'll tell ya' - I sure didn't like it. I don't care what their excuses may have been.

Other people's works does get ripped off sometimes. I completely understand you Nathan. I was just pointing out something I think submmitters needed to know about without squashing them as it may not have been their intention but sometimes they are not aware about these copyrights issues, and even get undeserved praise from others who are not aware as well. I thought perhaps the contest rules were not as clear about it.

 

On the other hand, I would'nt want anyone using my material unawares like that either. and from an artist point of view, I do feel that entries should be entirely original to be concidered as it seems not fair to those who actually worked on their entries from scratch.

it was'nt my intention to take someone's work and put them on this label, sorry about that, i live in the 3 world, in my country we dont have to much laws like all of u have, and i dont whant any troubles, am a graphic designer, not a ilustrator as u people now, is the first time i have been in a contest like this, sorry again, and peace. joel
