Hello, my name is Joseph Gerth. I've been an Atari 8-bit fan ever since I got a 1200XL with a BASIC cart and a 1010 for my 9th birthday. Since then I got a 130XE, switched to an Amiga 500, then an Amiga 3000/UX, and then joined the dark side and got the first of a long string of PCs. During all of that I attended Texas A&M University (Major in Computer Engineering) but didn't finish due to a combination of finances and family silliness.

Current Projects......

1) "Mega XE" Upgraded A8 built into a Mega ST case.

a) Subproject: PBI or SIO 3.5" HD Floppy controller. Progress will be slow as I am also learning ASIC design, VHDL, and how FDCs work in the process.

2) Screen replacement for the Atari Stacy. I was considering a EL panel until the quote from Planar gave me sticker shock. Now I'm considering a TFT that will be capable of all three ST resolutions.
