  1. I tend to think I'm too liberal on game reviews, but after downloading the trial (NOTE: trial!) I'm really not impressed. The graphics are great, but the new style of gameplay left me feeling just, meh. It reminds me more of Super-Pac-Man than a spiritual sequel. Kind of bland and uninspired. I'll be the first here to take wrath for it when you all fall in love with it.
  2. Zelda: TP (Wii) Earth Defense Force 2017 (360) Guitar Hero 2 (2nd go round, 360) Lars' Adventure (Raitendo)
  3. Well, BB had it for 40$ today, so I picked up that and Tony Hawk : AW for 10$. Just beat the first level. I wish it had more of a radar type interface, but I'm liking it so far. I spent the odd 240 points I had left downloading all the addons. I dunno, I'm really enjoying the odd games like this and EDF.
  4. I picked this up NIB for 15 or 20 bucks two weeks ago. I was really in to the whole thing until it turned in to zombie-world. I like the idea of the 'serial killer chase', but this plot seems so contrived I'm wondering if I'll finish it. The only thing that has me interested is why the birds are dying. I do like the melee though. I hope the endgame story makes me want to see more.
  5. You should look into Costco. Their 90 day pricematching has returned me so much money it's ridiculous. I'm heading over their tonight to pick up 200$ in rebates from the 47" LCD i picked up there in April.
  6. I'm amazed so many of these units exist, I was the only kid in school who had one of these, everyone else had a C64 or an Atari.
  7. I concur that customer satisfaction from estarland is tp tier, but personally i think their prices are quite hefty. They had an X'Eye go up, no box no manual for 109 last week. YMMV.
  8. I don't know about pricing, but I have a loose copy I'd be happy to trade for MM2.
  9. Speaking of Chiller, one I played a lot and grew to love/hate was Baby Boomer. Still trying to find a mint copy that isn't insanely priced.
  10. Who -hasn't- played RCR? I gotta say, I'm with scumm and jbanes on this one.
  11. While I'm very excited to watch this movie, it is kind of sad. Does anyone here have any first hand info on the feud? What cursory information I've found does seem to point that Wiebe's tape is crap?
  12. Wow, I salute you sir. I got too frustrated to play any more after I beat the moon level, but would -reallllly- like to see a sequel.
  13. Unfortunantly no, my wife would kill me. I've only got about 70 titles right now, sold off a lot of stuff a while back. Trying to collect working hardware more than anything now. I'm so paranoid that all my CD systems are going to die any minute. I want to be able to play Time Gal in 2030.
  14. Awesome, I've achieved the 'hard-core' level of SEGAness. It's too bad though, I picked up Beggar Prince about 4 months ago and still haven't played it. Guess I'll have to keep a model 1 out a little longer. Now I just need to find a working CDX and a model 3 and my US Genny collection will be complete. (I think.) EDIT: Also, did anyone reading this ever do Genesis development? I just find it interesting that no other games have this issue, and was wondering how the older devs dealt with it.
  15. lol! I personally was very very happy paying full price for the game, which is something I don't feel often lately. While there is a lot of text, this is one of maybe 3 games that had dialogue that made me chuckle or laugh out loud. Each of the characters have their own strength (arguably, I'd say Bowser is the worst character, weird eh?) and the controls were tight. I don't know what to tell you about the game being so 'gay'. From what I've heard playing Halo on XBL, the nation is full of closet homosexuals aged between 9 and 35.
  16. Wow, great info, thanks! Any idea what's special about BP that it doesn't work in those 2 models?
  17. Picked up one of these with 7 pretty decent Genny games for 40$ with all the parts, but information on these seems pretty scarce. Anyone know if there's any common issues or problems with the console?
  18. Doesn't have to be mint, just want a decent working copy with all the pieces/parts. PM me please.
  19. What does the wideboy actually do? just stretch the pixels to fit on a standard TV?
  20. Congrats on the find! I loved that game as well, I remember playing the demo at the 1990(?) Nintendo World Championship along with Lolo. I never managed to beat the gigantic demon boss at the end, lord knows I tried.
  21. gone as in sold, stored, or stolen? I love the SNK so much.
  22. although it may be my fav system of all time, i apologize for not making the sarcasm more obvious. I've spent about 400$ so far on 6 mint condiiton games.
  23. I have two copies myself. There were two games I learned to swear at, Ninja Gaiden and Monster Party. Between the Zombies, the Fried Food and some of the random movement bosses, Monster Party became one of my favorites. I always assumed people who played it loved it.
