(How) Do You Manage Your Collection?
raindog151 replied to raindog151's topic in Classic Console Discussion
And I answer my own question, any Mac users should check: http://www.bruji.com/gamepedia/ They're getting my 18 bucks. -
I saw this thread from 2003: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...amp;hl=organize talking about how to keep track of your collection. I'm a Mac user, and don't really want to maintain a parallels image to use cart commander. Do any of you have another or homebrew solution? Access database template I can steal? I really want to see what I have from a 10k foot view so I can start selling off my stuff.

Are there any rare Xbox games yet?
raindog151 replied to Selfmindead's topic in Modern Gaming Discussion
Wow, I didn't know it was that rare. Glad I still have mine with the box. "The controller has two control sticks and around 40 buttons. The game, with the controller included, costs around £130, or $200. Since the controller is very large, only limited quantities (around 2000 units worldwide) were made available. These quickly sold out, making the game a collector's piece. It has since been re-released in limited quantities in the United States for the retail price of $200." I wonder how many units were reissued. -
x-box soft mod for dummies? anyone have one?
raindog151 replied to mimo's topic in Modern Gaming Discussion
I guess I'm dumb, most of the stuff I found is not user-friendly. Is there a softmod that does not require a memory card or action replay? I have an XBox with a dead DVD drive upstairs, and would like to mod but don't want to spend any cash on it. -
Are there any rare Xbox games yet?
raindog151 replied to Selfmindead's topic in Modern Gaming Discussion
I imagine in a few (4-5?) years, some of the lower run games will start to become valuable. A few examples: Phantom Dust Super Bubble Pop Razes Hell Call of Cthuhlu Land of the Dead: FG I don't see the orginal Xbox as being a big collector platform, but there was some great IP on it. I just use mine for MvC2 and CvS2, cuz SFAC is BC now. -
Game Room Collection Pictures
raindog151 replied to Ghost Soldier's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I swear, one year I'll drag everything out to take pictures. This is the stuff I don't have in storage right now. I'm not an Atari nut, so excuse the lack thereof. -
Picked this up over the weekend, just thought I'd share a few quick items.. 1. The sandbox is fun. Swinging around pseudo NYC is a blast. There isn't much interaction between you and the environment, but it's a hell of a ride. 2. The missions are bleh. The combat is very awkward. You'll hit what you meant to around 80% of the time. As far as I can tell, there's no way to target a particular enemy or object, so it's kind of a crapshoot. You'll fight the usual Spiderman universe enemies, scorpion, new goblin, venom, etc. 3. You don't get the black suit right away, and you may get bored before you get there. All in all, it feel uninspired, and not nearly as fun as Ultimate. Perhaps some DLC in the future (Venom, please!) would fix it, but there's a very limited amount of things to do, and beating up gangs gets boring quickly. Anyone else have an opinion?

Best Multiplayer Genesis Games

Sunset Riders and my favorite, NHL 94. -
Holy crap, a NoVA person. Come out to Ashburn and play Co-op with me!

I'm really liking it. I wish it'd been 30$ rather than 40$, but I'm really happy thusfar. Serious Sam style shooting with campy, 60's style sci-fi bugs. Dialogue is funny and terrible at the same time, story doesn't get in the way, lots and lots of powerups. I miss this style of pick up and play gaming.

Hey ya'll, I've gotten some conflicting data from my searching. What do you think a boxed TG-16 and boxed Turbostick would go for (realistically, not eBay inflated.) As far as I know, it has all parts and manuals. I haven't touched it in over a year, so it's time for me to pass it on to some other lucky collector. If this is the wrong forum, let me know.

I picked it up today, I love it. Action action action! If anyone wants to try coop, my XBL is the same, raindog151.

FT/FS: Modded 2P XArcade Stick w/ XB/PS2 adapters.
raindog151 posted a topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Due to the size and weight, I'd rather trade/sell locally! I actually really like this thing since I replaced the sh!t stock sticks with Happ Comp Pro's, but I don't have people over enough to justify keeping it. It has the new board that supports USB and keyboard port and includes 2P adapters for XBox and PS2. No chips or any cosmetic flaws, works great. Will include stock sticks if for some morbid reason you'd want them. Looking to trade for NES/SNES carts, D2 mint for US DC, and a whole bunch of other stuff. PM me for pictures or if interested. -
Just wanted to give a quick update, I went on a mini spending spree and picked up a bunch of titles. My opine: Great: Gradius Collection (I mean, come on.) Ridge Racer (A great, moderately challenging arcade racer.) Lumines (It's neo-tetris. Great visuals and music.) Loco Roco (It's diffferent enough to keep me occupied, lots of hidden crap to find.) Good: GitS Stand Alone Complex (Once you get used to the controls, it's not bad. Reminds my of Goldeneye.) Exit (A great game marred by icky controls.) WTF (It'll keep you busy, but eventually you stop caring.) Ultimate GnG (Same old controls, prettier graphics, insane dfficulty.) Bad: XMen Legends 2 (Clunky, this type of game is not made to be portable.) Every Extend Extra (Graphically boring, little challenge.)
-
*raises hand* if anyone here would care to trade me another 360 game for it or some loose NES/SNES, let me know.

Indiana Jones actually could have been one of the best titles for the 64 if they'd sent it through QA. The damn game freezes like a box of otter pops. From the brief intel gathering I've done, it does seem fairly common across the board, not an issue with my cart.
-
I'd highly recommend picking up these if you haven't: Killer 7 PN03 Ikaruga Games like these are going to be the ones going for MSRP or higher still on ebay in 5 years.
-
That's what i'm doing. I can't imagine investing the time to get through this on 3 lives. It's very impressive, graphically. I hope they make more like this. (And I'll keep crossing my fingers for Klonoa 3 on PSP...)

I should've listened.

On visits home, I've passed by that place half a dozen times or so, but was always a little skeptical. How do they compare to say, Record (or is it The?) Exchange?

Trying to remember the name of a Genesis game...
raindog151 replied to autumn_drag0n's topic in Classic Console Discussion
If anyone is interested, I've got a complete copy I have no attachment to. -
Ended up getting one for my birthday, kind of a random gift. It came with some meh ATV game, and I've got Ghost in the Shell on the way. (I imagine it's bad, but I loved the PS2 one and I'll buy anything that IG throws at me...) I went through Metacritic and picked what looked interesting to me, anyone have anything terribly negative to say about any of these? Ultimate Ghosts and Goblins Crush Exit Every Extend Extra WTF Lumines Lumines 2 Metal Gear Acid 1/2 Metal Gear Portable Ops Loco Roco Me and My Katamari

Sega Genesis Light Gun question
raindog151 replied to raskar42's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I've got one missing a few non-essential addons and no cart in box. If you're interested in it, let me know, I'll never use it.
