  1. Maybe a separate thread discussing copyright could be created? I'm interested in the NT mini, the super NT and the Zimba 3000 hardware. This all seems a bit off topic and an argument that none of you are going to win.
  2. Set up an ebay search notification. I had notification last week, ordered it as soon as the email turned up, then it arrived in less than a week direct from Japan. Really pleased, is in mint condition.
  3. I do not doubt he can do it, others have done most of expansion chips already, see - https://krikzz.com/store/home/27-sd2snes.html so I am certain Kevin can, these things just take time.
  4. Agree, all uncertain at the moment.. Just a guess, trying to read into some of Kevtris comments (he mentioned earlier Turrican does not need expansion chips), so assuming we are going to get SNES jailbreak, I would not expect all the expansion chips (at least at first), I know Kevin is a genius but I would be surprised if everything was available and working from the SD early on.
  5. Thanks for clearing that up. I guess it makes things easier the game not needing any expansion chips. I know it's not needed for the Super NT as it stands but do you plan to do any FPGA work on the expansion chips for say the Zimba 3000?
  6. Sounds good, would the HDMI-to-VGA converter produce lag? I am not at all familiar with how HDMI works and no idea what is in these converters, is it a circuit/decoder/encoder widget of some kind or just a pin adapter?
  7. Previous models have been available in batches then quickly went out of stock. I'm sure you will be able to get one at a later date but previously there has been a wait.
  8. Sensible words. Not really sure why I ordered when you put it like that, lol.
  9. Agree, afterall I already have the NT mini with all those cores.
  10. I went for SFC, can't really tell you why though?!
  11. Ordered one, hopefully will have jailbreak. I do wonder about the jailbreak, I can see analogue not wanting the nes core on it as that will take away sales from the NT mini, unless sales of that system have already run there course? Of course mega drive etc. cores dont yet exist. Of course popular systems like that is again another product they might want to sell.
  12. yeah, want to play super breakout! Mentioned before but would be nice if the NES Arkanoid pad worked with the 2600.
  13. I have a few NOS original Nintendo pads, think they are the best, perhaps just what i'm used to. Had to switch the B A buttons in the Analogue menus though, for some reason the default setting hurts my brain, lol. The 8Bitdo wireless controller was okay, but the button layout is stupid, many games were designed so you can slide/use the two buttons and its just difficult to play that way with the SNES style button layout on the square plastic shell.
  14. Hi Kevin, Does that mean you are nearly finished with your paid work?
  15. nearly exactly what I was trying to say, perhaps failed! Though expect only a basic SNES core would be released with a new product, due to the time available, no need for SuperFX for now as thats included on carts (though i'm sure Kevin will get around to it). Suspect would take time for further 16bit cores (other than those already completed). Of course this time will be bundled with the 8bitdo SNES style wireless controller.
  16. Does he need to create an FPGA of the SuperFX chip? Would be nice but that bit is in the cart so I don't think Analogue would be bothered about that. Genesis would be nice, maybe dual system with both cart slots?
  17. They mentioned they partnered them with it, though obviously to what degree I don't know. Different question, but if Kevin is not doing more work for Analogue then what product could/should they release next? The NT Mini is brilliant but i'd be surprised if they are not already working on another product, SNES does seem the obvious choice to me and I can not think of anyone other than Kevin that could deliver that. Only other thing I can think of is a portable device for the existing cores, but that would not take kevin long enough, he said he was going to be busy for quite some time and its something we would be interested in.
  18. I'm convinced its a SNES core for a new Analogue product, they already have the controller to go with it - https://www.analogue.co/pages/8bitdo-x-analogue-snes. Its not like they made a sega version, i suppose that does not interest them (Analogue). I'm sure Analogue benefited from the hype around the nes mini classic so I guess soon would be a good time to release snes version after the snes mini classic. Though think a SNES core to the same level/quality of NES core is a big challenge and will take some time. I'm guessing they would like to release a year on from the nt mini but i'm guessing that (imaginary in my head deadline) will have slipped, having said that, Kevin has popped up on youtube and making a few more comments on here so i wonder if he is a bit more relaxed about it now, seemed eager/stressed to get on with it (what ever it is) a few months ago. Though if its not for Analogue then I dunno, lol.
  19. Can not see it being that long either, but I guess no one knows. I'd be surprised if Kevins paid work is something we will not be interested in.
  20. Have linked to the video in the last page, bottom post. Have not re-watched it, hope my memory is correct.
  21. Kevin talked about a Williams arcade core, are a few FPGA based multigame systems, see http://www.jrok.com/hardware/wsf/so on things like that you would not need to load another core between games. I suspect Kevin becoming more well known will result in more paid work and perhaps less time for all the cores he would like to create. I wonder if we will ever see third party core (not made by Kevin) on the NT Mini?
  22. Yeah, maybe you are right, was just a guess. Could be something to do with cryogenics for all I know! Edit - Think this was the video I was refering to - , video shows some of the things he has been working on. I guess his paid work would not be in this video.
  23. I'm guessing he is working on a portable for Analogue (actually briefly showed one a few weeks ago on YouTube) I know Kevin is talented but I imagine if it did take Kevin 6 months to make a SNES core is would not be as polished as the NES one, he worked on that for years then ironed lots of stuff out on the Hi-Def NES.
  24. Could the ribbon connectors come loose during shipping?
  25. Yeah, I wondered if they might be sold through Gametech, would make sense for someone else to do it, think Kevin is busy enough. Have ordered some bits for a PS/2 keyboard adapter but I think thats as far as I will go making bits for myself. Sorry to read you might be having further troubles with your system, hope you don't have to send it off again. I did play a four player game of Super Off Road on mine but that does not use every button, i'll have to test it here.
