  1. Agreed. Hopefully something will unlock the situation. Here’s hoping it will be possible to reach that person at some point. also, beyond that we are still on the lookout for the pen-701 game cart (secret garden I believe?) and the coleco converter. Should anyone care to step up with those it would be much appreciated.
  2. Thank you awhite, i will respond to you by PM.
  3. Hello to all: i was wondering if we could find some volunteers here owning a supercard pro or kryoflux drive to test images of crown of creation 3D for falcon. this game is infamous for it’s protection systems that kicks in around mission 7 if the disks aren’t recognised as originals. as such, the idea would be to test the obtained images by going far into the game in order to see whether the disks are properly images and preserved. The thread at Atari forum is here: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=28256 thank you for your interest.
  4. Hello to all, i was wondering if out of curiosity anyone was following the software items held by the pc museum in Canada following the sad events that resulted in the museum closing down. I think there were a few mentions in the boards at some point. I would particularly be interested in looking at a rare hanimex pencil 2 cart called big foot chase which I haven’t seen before (it even looks curious, almost pre-release, for a commercial cart). As such should the cart have a potential new owner, i’d Like to propose a non destructive way to dump the cart in order to add to the MESS lists. The method has been previously used on another game called treasure diver and has worked flawlessly (that game being the first pencil 2 exclusive supported by MESS). Should anyone care to contribute additional hardware like the coleco converter or the other cart game « secret garden » we would also be interested. 5. Hmm this could be interesting: i know of someone who has coc who's in germany. I'll contact him to see what he has to say... Many thanks.
  6. Anyone? Otherwise might someone here be willing to lend his coc copy to some kryoflux board people?

  9. Let's already start by who has a drive... Maybe protos?
  10. Would be nice to try kryo imaging then. Perhaps the no intro people could then look at the images...
  11. Even through kryoflux? Why is that? Normally the disk should be cloned to the last bit and the protections should not trigger even if replicated. At least that's the opinion of the no-intro folks.
  12. In what way does the dsp protection interfers with disk imaging? I only thought that cracking it was taking a long time...
  13. Hello to all! After recently having made searches on this baby and having seen that no correct dump exist for it, I was wondering if a charitable person might have a kryoflux drive so we could try to properly image crown of creation for falcon? I've also got someone working on manual and package scans. This could help the title being preserved and runnable under emulators like hatari. any thoughts anyone? Best regards. mikael.
  14. I just hope someone in the zod communities will preserve that game and it's addon. ultimately something akin to a TOSEC library should be made to preserve the zodiac's legacy, while we wait for emulation to catch up.
  15. Seems your luck may still be here: take a look! http://www.treo.net.cn/bbs/thread-78232-1-1.html Also, as a return favor, I'm specifically interested in the preservation of galactic realms: into the void and it's add on rebel assault. should you know anything as to where they can be found please keep me informed: those gems must not die!
  16. you seem to appreciate: that's good! Actually, I'm searching for amiga coders (all the ones I know are busy already). olandrobo, one of the programmers of another unreleased game called shenandoah found it's source code back. We would like to "reconstruct" it in order to preserve it.
  17. That's right: go to the project agtw (amiga games that weren't) section, then go to the yet another unreleased shootemup section, and you'll find everything. The game itself is available for download on insertdisk2. Work is progressing on the retrival of another unreleased shmup called shenandoah (The source code has just been found) you can also find more about that. hope you enjoy.
  18. Hello to all, I'm pleased to anounce you the safe preservation of an unreleased (yet fully operational and complete) game called calephar for the amiga. This 2D space shooter was made by claude verstraten (programmer at visual impact: the same company which was involved in hyperforce for the jaguar, later distributed by songbird). Yet due to financial constraints, the game, along with a puzzle game called brain drain never made it to the stores. While later on, brain drain was salvaged and re used on the GBC, calephar was forgotten (it was not clamed original enough). Yet after negotiations with this very interesting person, he gave me one of the 2 prototype disks and declared the game public domain while allowing password cracking and mass distribution. The game is perfectly compatible with WinUAE or an A1200 config. Please visit the amiga board for more details. Another one preserved.
  19. Different taste of opinions? Funny phylosophical answer from someone saying I have low standards because I like the space war 2000 prototype and skyhammer. As far as low standards are concerned, don't worry: I have a collection of space combat games (some unreleased, yet retrieved) for several machines from the fm towns marty all the way back to the excelvision you couldn't even start to count, so please do me a favour and don't question my "low standards" again. As for preservation, Perhaps you'll understand that the TOSEC serve a purpose other than mass piracy (at least to me): it's simply a backup system to all the software ever existing, and is expendable at will to accomodate unreleased prototypes such as calephar recently preserved for the amiga. Should you have understood I wanted an immediate dump of battlesphere, I would have denied having said that, for this is not what I want. What I wish for is this: one day, in one or 20 years(or even later), when the jaguar comes to die (all systems die one day, unfortunately), when you will come to choose to dump the game or let it fade away, I simply hope you will go for the first choice. Songbird (carl forhan) and telegames were quite receptive to this demand as, while they did not shower me with thousands of hacked roms, they did give me their word of honour that their games would be dumped when they deem it worthy, I just hope one day scatologic will react identically, since aside from B and C computervisions were things are still being discussed reguarding SW2K, battlesphere is the only question mark remaining in a long list... I hope this might make you understand a bit more who I am (I sincerely hope you will have stopped having considered me as a pirate or equivalent right now) why I'm concerned with this, for indeed a jag cartridge is unbreakable, but without a jaguar in the future, is it of much use? Also, remember that despite our differences, I'm willing to extend the hand of friendship with you, as friends are actually even more scarce and valuable than BSG today.
  20. This will only encourage piracy, I'm afraid. If they are afraid of illegal rom dumping, I would be worried by now. Now, don't get me wrong: I loath piracy: all the games I have (including the unreleased ones I've secured) are originals and 100% legal, but if nothing changes, it will eventually be donethe hard way. Scat should only consider this as a friendly warning, especially since they have the possibility to preserve the game WITHOUT rom dumping by porting it to the pc.
  21. The way they put it, SO FAR it seems so.
  22. To shawn: JAG users still have access to pearls such as spacewar, skyhammer and others, they are NOT bare handed, besides, from what I hear, more jag titles are being prepared. And as far as scatologic is concerned, I sincerely hope a compromise can be found, but that means efforts on BOTH sides.
  23. Yes, but if scatologic is complaining about the cost of making jag carts, the only way they can market battlesphere reasonably is to port it on CD-rom media for pc (or even jaguar, for that matter), why not make All the battlespheres on jag CD? This might make the prices go down a little.
