I have had a chance to try a Nintendo 3DS an a 3D TV with 3D glasses today.

The 3D TV was impressive but not that impressive on 3DS. I use glasses so my vision might not look 3Ds that impressive I think.

If Nintendo dropped the price on 3DS, that's because the 3DS is not that impressive either.

Nintendo 3DS is more like a DS but with more powerful and bigger screens.

None of 3Ds games are impressive neither. Peharps if Super Mario Galaxy will release on 3DS ...

For no reason, I'd like to make a 1920s cartoon.

After watching Felix the cat, Alice Comedies, Koko the clown, ...

I feel to make my own 1920s movie as well.

    Super Mouse Catcher

How many cats in cartoon can catch mice? I don't know.

    The problem is ...

The super heroes came in 1940s after Superman was introduced in 1937.

So Super Mouse Catcher does not sound right for a 1920s cartoon. So I canned it.

Fortunely, I found a new idea for my cartoon who it could be right for 1920s.

I played Lethal Weapon on gameboy and I wonder if there is a fight/brawl game for colecovision.

After messing with codes, I managed to get something.

    Yeah!!!! It's my brawl/fight game.

Colecovision has limited colour to choose from. Even if it has 15 colors, most of them are different of reds, greens and blues.

In the screenshot, there are five sprites: the player, the towel and three bad guys.

Because these five sprites are in the same line, the white guy does not show properly.
Colecovision only has four sprites in the same line without issues.
A talented programmer might find a way to make it work acceptable.

If the player does not wear towel, he could fight three bad guys without any sprites issues.

The background alone could reach the limit of 32k quickly.

Fighting with one color guys looks funny.

With more practicing, I might get something with this game playable.

HP computers offer three OS installed to choose from:

    - Windows

    - Linux

    - FreeDOS

If most people choose Windows or Linux, I start questioning why FreeDOS is also offert.

    FreeDOS: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FreeDOS

I wonder why some manufacturers decide to support FreeDOS as well.

Today, most people I know won't write commands.

Windows is the most os used in the world and the all tools I use are Windows.

Even my first computer was IBM PCjr, a DOS computer, I still prefer Windows today.

If I want to play DOS games, I"d run DOSbox instead.

    Hi everyone

I started a new game few days ago. It called 'Les petites orphelines'. In English, it says 'The little orphans'.

    The story
The orphanage is out of business for lack of money. Four kids, Patricia, Annie, Remie and Cindy must find a house to live with only $20 000.

If I choose SCI unstead AGI that because SCI is more powerfull for this kind of the game.

Unlike most sci fanmade games, 'Les petites orphelines' does not have to write commands to do something. It's totally point & click.

It's seen I have problem to upload images again so I give you the link to the game screenshot.

    Les petites orphelines screenshot

That all for today. See you later

I made a room editor for my colecovision game.

It would be easier to design rooms.

With this editor, you can export codes to make the game like this.

Just copy and past these codes to your programs.

I noted CCI supports only strings with 256 characters. But this is still fine.

Instead writing 24 lines of codes just to display in the full screen, just one string will fill up 8 lines.
I only need three strings to full the screen.

I'm not sure if a colecovision game can handle 200 rooms. Montezuma's revenge has 100 rooms in a 16k cartridge data.

A 200 rooms game would take 32k of data. Maybe more with the rest of code to make the game to run.

    Hi folks

You're wondering why the "Cut scene in Naturette IV (warning: spoiler ahead)" was moving to the top of the blog?

Don't worry. I just tried the draft option.

And about trackback, it's more like posting a link to the blocs, nothing else. I checked the word "trackback on wikipedia. Now, I am more confused than I supposed to understand.

    It's all for the moment.

    See you later.

    Hi

The Mega-Tokyo messageboard has moved recently to
    http://www.agigames.com/forum/

    What's about the Mega-Tokyo messageboard?

-The Mega-Tokyo is a forum about AGI and SCI programming. The AGI and SCI are the interpreters made by Sierra On-Line, the author of King's quest series, Space Quest, Leisure suit Larry and so...

I'll announce new games I released in this forum as well as in this blog.

Today, everybody can make adventure games using tools. Naturette series, Serguei's destiny and Isabella Coq use Sierra's AGI.

Like in Atari-AGE where newest 2600 games are releised each year, many adventure fans still make AGI and SCI games, like me.

    Bye. See you later

Three weeks ago, I discovered MonkeyJam, a free video editor.

    Monkey Jam

So, I decided to make my own cartoon movie.

I used AGI studio and DosBox, a DOS emulator. I make agi game to run slowly to be able to save screenshots as frames.

Too bad. Monkey Jam is limited to 1637 frames prevent me to finnish my cartoon.

I'll ask to the author to add more frames to his/her Monkey Jam.

    --- Edit ---

    The story:

Fric, Froc and Sophia live in a gas station in the desert. Sophia must go to school.
Will Fric and Froc help her or will she go to school by walking through the desert?

    Hi folks

I worked on a cut-scene today. Check it out.

If you don't know about Naturette series I'd suggest to try them.

    Naturette

Naturette II: daughter of the moon

    Naturette III: adventure in Treeworld

Warning: all Naturette games contain nude people but not a xxx scenes.

    Hi there

I would like to make more than just one room a day but each time I make a new room, I bump with a new problem.

    Anyway, enjoy the new screenshots.

    Hi

Stone Trek is a flash animation with a spoof of Star Trek and The Flintstones.

You can watch them at http://www.stonetrek.com/

Too bad, since one year ago, they did not make new episodes. What a bummer.
