There's a hack of the 7800 version that adds escape tunnels!

 

Maybe the 2600 version can be hacked.

 

There are many hacks of jr Pac-Man. I can't find the right version.

Try setting the difficulty to just one ghost chasing you, that's what I always do before playing.

And I'm not have the same feeling with only one or few ghosts when the original game has four ghosts.

[Thoughts on 5200(or how to kill a system)]

Two things would have made the 5200 a success:

 

1) Better pack in game! Super Breakout vs. Donkey Kong??? Hard decision for the buyer? Not really. Galaxian would have been great!

 

 

2) Release new games BEFORE the 2600 version and that would push people towards the system and Atari could have retired the 2600/

 

Everybody puts Atari down for having more than one system on the market! REALLY???

 

Look at SONY, XBOX & Nintendo!

 

And better controllers of course.

[A DOS computer today?]

Well, FreeDOS is available on-line for free. Anybody can install it. That's fine for me.

 

But buying computers with freedos pre-installed, I don't get it unless people started to love

typing commands or want a very cheap computer and new users choose dos games instead windows games.

 

When I'm typing this comments, I just think something: new games requiert internet connection to play them.

 

Look at Minecraft: you need to register an account to Minecraft site before you start to play. It's the same for others games.

 

So for some people, computers with freedos installed is a way to go, even if nobody

makes dos games anymore.
