    I worked on my unname brawler game today.



    What's new:

    Press Button 1 to attack

    Press either 1 or 2 to select a weapon: fist, crowbar or whip.


    You can't defeat an enemy in this demo. The player just has attack animation, nothing else.

    I can't figure how to use FIRE3. Either the emulator doesn't support 4 buttons or I made mistake with the codes.

    Keypad seems to work btw.

    Have fun with this demo.

    Colecovision stuff again

    I played Popeye on Colecovision.

    The first thing I noted is the witch/woman throwing bottles always displays in the square.



    I think she drawn in tiles instead sprites because Colecovision's limits.

    Popeye is still fun playing it.


    Good thing to know.

    I love Stargate SG1 but

    I'm pleased when Space was on free preview and I rewatched Stargate SG1 again.

    So I started to watch them again.

    It is a great show but ..



    Space broadcasted Stargate SG1 10 episodes in a week, I lost the interest of the show quickly, even if I can record and watch the episodes later. But 10 episodes a week is too much for me.

    I spend most of my time making cartoons and games and playing games, I don't feel to subscribe Space to watch the rest of the episodes.

    The problem with specialized channels are, they can broadcast two, three, and four episodes in a row of the same show.

    New computer Windows 10

    I bought a new computer recently with windows 10 installed.

    The first thing I noted is Cortana asks me to tell something each time I turn on the computer.

    Why did Microsoft put Cortana when the computer starts? It's annoying!

    It could be an application when I want to talk with it.

    The most tools I used from Vista still work on 10.

    I can still make movies and games.

    I started watching Batman featuring Adam West and Burt Ward since September in CHCH.

    The first season is great.

    The second season is great too.

    The third season is questionable:

    - Flashing cards in fight scenes is annoying.

    - Batgirl? Is she a great addition in the series? I don't know.

    - The story seems to be crushed in one episode, even if they're two/three episodes one story.


    No wonder why Batman 1966 is canceled and NBC didn't take it over for fourth season.

    I bought a Sony Vaio in 2009 with Blu-Ray drive.

    Seven years later, DVDs are still popular.

    I thought Blu-Ray drives prices are dropped but there're still have DVD players today.

    I made a room editor for my colecovision game.

    It would be easier to design rooms.



    With this editor, you can export codes to make the game like this.



    Just copy and past these codes to your programs.

    I noted CCI supports only strings with 256 characters. But this is still fine.

    Instead writing 24 lines of codes just to display in the full screen, just one string will fill up 8 lines.
    I only need three strings to full the screen.



    I'm not sure if a colecovision game can handle 200 rooms. Montezuma's revenge has 100 rooms in a 16k cartridge data.

    A 200 rooms game would take 32k of data. Maybe more with the rest of code to make the game to run.
