  1. I wanted to get this game, but I decided to buy a ps3 so I'm out of money atm . maybe next month....
  2. Well, I saw a review on TV for the 360 version. It's more like Forza Motorsport so that sounds good to me. Hopefully the Wii review comes out soon. I'm more interested in this game now then before.... EDIT:Just read the PS3 review on IGN....they didn't care much for it. Now I'm back to being "iffy" on it....
  3. Advent Rising. I read this was to be a trilogy but the first game sold poorly and the sequels got canceled. Yeah, it's a more recent game, couldn't think of anything else....
  4. A Zellers here had a couple of SNES systems and a few games in 2001 or 2002. I should have bought it. They wanted like 70 bucks for the system and I thought it was a ripoff...Was it?
  5. http://wii.ign.com/articles/832/832525p1.html Looks nice! I might pick this one up.
  6. The game is a platformer. Nothing really special, but it's funny! It makes fun of other popular games.
  7. I guess it is more then safe to say "stay away from those budget titles" oh well....bring on some more shovelware??
  8. controls are fine its just the camera can get wonky at times.
  9. Anyone get this? I got it yesterday. I think the game is kinda funny. The in game camera can be a pain but other then that I think its fun.
  10. Alright, I got around to playing this today. Basically this is an on rails shooter, not a mechassault game as I thought before. Only 5 levels and they are very short. I mean 2 minutes long and then boss battle. Controls are good. Point the remote to shoot wherever and use control stick to move around. Tilt nunchuck left or right to dive/roll. Graphics are like ps2 stuff as I expected them to be. Sound and music are good. I played for an hour and only made to level 3 once. I die alot during the boss battles. You get 3 contiunes, then game over. There are no save games. Only your high scores are saved. For $20 it's not a bad game, but with Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles coming out (another on rails shooter) I would think it would be better to wait for that then buy this game. Anyone else pick this one up?
  11. Same here. I played for a few hours and got bored quickly...
  12. Hopefully this weekend i'll get around to playing both!
  13. At 20 bucks, you can't really expect these to be blockbusters.
  14. Is it worth full retail price for this even if you have the previous namco museums?
  15. I was at walmart this morning and saw a bunch of wii games under 20 dollars. Monster Trux Arenas Special Edition Counter Force Mercury Meltdown Revolution Rock 'n Roll Adventures Ninjabread Man mmmmmmmm, I think there was a few more. I was there just to get mercury meltdown and thought what the hell they are cheap so i picked up 2 more. Monster Trux and Counter Force. Monster Trux i just created a thread about that. Counter Force. Haven't played it yet. Looks like a mechassualt game. Mercury Meltdown. Again I haven't played this yet. But It got a good review from IGN. Already started a thread about this one too. Thought I'd give a heads up to wii owners looking for some cheap games.
  16. Here we have one of a few budget games released for the wii recently. Graphics:They look like early ps2 graphics. I don't mind that too much, although quite a few wii games look ps2 like. It's better then the preview screenshots of Crusin' at least.... Sound and Music:Well the trucks are loud and the music is nothing special. I only remember hearing a few songs that get looped over and over again. No custom soundtrack support. Gameplay:Hold the wiimote like the nes controller and tilt to steer. Press 1 to brake/reverse and 2 to accelerate. Press A button for handbrake. Thrust remote forward for nitro. Different vehicles control a little diffrently and can take a bit to get used to. The protruck is a good example. The game has 3 challange cups with 4 tracks each. When you plow through those, well, that's it. The back of the case claims "unlock hidden extras including bigger trucks, upgrades, extra courses and much more" and "numerous championships and single races". I must have gone blind as I don't see this. In the just under 2 and half hours I spent playing i am 70% complete according to my profile. Where are the unlockables? all the trucks are unlocked and I don't see any new tracks or cups to race in? What am I missing? The game has a glitch where sometimes if you smash into a barrier you can go through it and fall into the graphics. The game will reset you back onto the track within a few seconds. This has only happened twice so far... It's only a 20 dollar game and I did have fun playing this game, but I don't think this disc will be going back into the wii anytime soon. This is not an Exitetruck killer (god no, not even close) and while playing this game I did start to think about playing Exitetruck instead...... Rent it, or avoid it. That's my reccomendation.... NOTE:This is my first time trying to review a game.
  17. I had this one when I had a NES way back. I remember liking it.
  18. Well I had already bought fatal fury before seeing the A Sprite post and I gotta tell ya.....this game is unplayable.....i can't even get past the title screen. I select whatever game you know fatal fury or ff3 it doesn't matter.....when i select a game i get a white screen with black bar and upside down neo geo logo....if i start pushing buttons i can hear music and sound effects and can tell that i'm fighting someone but all i get on video is white screen. I took it back and had to go to another ebgames to exchange it for another copy as they didn't have another, and this second copy doesn't work either same thing happens.... the guy at the other store said it may have something to do with my ps2 being a really old model. newer games are pickey with older hardware he says. I'm taking this back tommorrow....exchange it for a diffrent game i guess (can't get cash back since the game is opened). I attached a video showing the problem. fatal_fury_noee_workee.MPG
  19. I assume the virtua fighter 4 evo has extra content? So far that's a good list of games to start off with......thanks!
  20. I've been having a blast with madden 08 and fifa 08....if that means anything....
  21. Hello! I am rather new to fighting games and I am looking for opinions as to some really good fighting games for PS2 or XBOX. I currently have the following.... Virtua Fighter 4 (I really liked this one) Tao Feng:Fist of the Lotus (I liked this one too...even tho it got crap reviews) King of Fighters Neowave (Awesome!) and Dead or Alive Ultimate (good but only played the first one so far). Right now I am thinking about getting the Art of Fighting and Fatal Fury collections for the PS2. Are these ones any good? or is there one better the other? and what other fighting games should I look into?
  22. close call between the first and second. Those 2 are the ones I always play. I voted for the first one.
