I had to work so i missed it. I did record it though....but that may have been pointless as I can just look in this thread or browse the net for the info.

Well, today I finally unlocked the super excite cup. yay me! I shall be getting hooked into this game more now.

Yeah, I noticed long ago that my wii sports disc was getting some scratches on it from that cardboard thing I since put that disc in a cd case. No cover for it so it looks boring. Oh well. I'm considering just buying the sonic game. It sounds like a fun game from what people have said here about it. I just don't know if I should plunk down the 59.99+ for it now or wait until it's a bit cheaper (under 30 bucks?).

ROTFL! It's not me scratching the discs. It's A rental. Other people have wrecked the discs. Why is it so hard for people to take care of stuff? I was also thinking that maybe the wii laser is weaker as well. Not sure on that.

Hello All... This morning I rented sonic secret rings as I really wanted to try that game out, but my wii is unable to read the disc due to scratches. Sonic shows up in the disc menu i click on that and then start. Screen goes black for a bit then error message.. "Game disc not able to be read please consult wii operations manual" or something to that effect. I cleaned the disc off a few times there was no dirt or anything just the scratches....tried a few more times to get it to work but nope keeps saying unable to read disc... I tried my copies of wii sports and exitetruck and those booted up fine so I don't think there is anything wrong with my console (unless the problem is it can't read scuffed up discs....). I took it back to BB and could have exchanged it for a diffrent copy that had little scratches (nothing like the copy i rented) and some fingerprints on this one. I didn't feel like giving it a try....i would have hated having to go back yet again if this copy didn't work either...(I exchanged it for xbox family guy game) Now, i have rented games for xbox and ps2 that were in far worse shape then the sonic game and they played flawlessly. So, has anyone had problems with thier wii not reading discs? Iv'e included a pic of the sonic disc...you really had to hold it up to the light to really see the scratches. Doesn't look too bad, I dunno....

I agree with compacho. I didn't consider the godfather game to be "fluff" I just felt the game was way too short. I still enjoyed the godfather but was bummed with almost finishing it in a week. I have the xbox versions of both I think the wii version of godfather has extra content, not sure on that....I like the scarface game better. Iv'e been having a lot of fun with it.

I grew up playing the Atari 800 computer. I don't remember having many games I think only a few. Zaxxon. Missile Command. .....forget the rest. Disk drive broke in late 80's it would keep saying "boot error" when you turned the thing on no matter what disk was in the drive. Dad bought it before i was born I think... Then in mid 80's my dad bought the atari st 1040. I was about 6 or 7 at the time. Never had many games for this either. Alternate Realty, Sundog, Oids....The pawn....Flight Simulator 2....megaroids (astroids clone).....Space Quest 3, Kings Quest 4....I'm sure I had more I just can't remember....a freind of mine also had an ST and had tons of games I would just borrow whatever games he was done playing with...much cheaper then buying them. This one had a very loud disk drive....come to think of it the 800 computer had an annoyingly loud drive.....my freinds ST was very quiet.... Then when I was about maybe 10 or 11 I got a NES with about a dozen or so games. From what i remember I had... -Super Mario Bros 1,2,3 -Duck Hunt -paperboy -ninja turtles 2 -impossible Mission 2 - ninja gaiden 2 - I forget the rest....The NES broke a few years later and I sold all the games to a freind. Then when I was 15/16 I got the Sega Genesis. This was when the Saturn was out already and the genesis was done with stores weren't selling games for it anymore. Sonic Spinball was the packin, and I bought Mortal Kombat and NHL Hockey ('91 I think) off a guy at school....I kept this for a few months then sold everything to buy PC games off a freind. Dad bought a new pentium and I got interested in PC gaming.....I still have most of the PC games with me...actually I left them behind when I moved in 2000 my dad sent them to me a few years back. I burst into laughter when I saw "Rise of the Triads" in it's original big ass box...don't know why I found that funny I just did....too lazy to look at what games i have.... oh I also got a gameboy in '91 I think... only had tetris and F1 Race.....never cared for the thing hence the lack of games...a few years later I loaned it to a freind (the one I sold the NES games too....) who kept it for about a year....i never asked about it and i didn't care for the thing he could've just kept it...when he gave it back to me he gave me a copy of super mario land....his way of saying "Sorry for not giving this back to you sooner" I guess...I tried selling this thing for years, no takers....think I was asking too much for it.....It got smashed during one of my moves in 2000 and broke...turn it on and the nintendo logo and that sound it made would appear but then blank screen....would not load up the carts...I threw it out...not sure what happened to the games...I don't have them anymore...I either threw them out or left them with my sister..... I wish I never sold that genesis.....or those NES games.....

Yeah, that's another thing that bugs me. I looked at the used 360 (don't ask why...I don't even have a 360 but whatever...) section and you only save 10 bucks....not worth it in my opinion. 59.99 for both oblivion (regular and special edition used?...doesn't make sense to me). But you are right. You can get very good bargains there. I have bought so many xbox games dirt cheap this year it's crazy. But whats even crazier, is that I hardly even touch these games I buy "For $2 you can insure these games for scratches,blah,blah...etc" uhhhh......those used discs already have scratches on them......I don't get that either...

Yesterday i was at ebgames to buy some racing games for the xbox. I got the ones I was interested in and then started looking for games to get next time I drop in. Now, House of the dead 3 is on my list of "Games to buy next time" but they want 31.99 for it. That's rather high for a used game don't ya think? Same for Baulder's Gate Dark Alliance 2 (at 41.99...used!!) but other games like Dino Crisis 3 (for example) are 9.99 used..... So basically, I am curious to know why certain games are so high up there while others are so low. Like I saw Crimson Skies there for 2.99. Is there a reason for this? Does it depend on if a game was popular/out of print/didn't sell well? I just find the pricing of certain games a little bizzare....

It's about time.....

I'm getting this game for the 360 (when I finally buy the system). If you really can't decide then just wait and see. I don't think there will be much diffrence between the two, but you never know...it's your call.

Is it worth getting the PS2 version? or should I just wait untill I get a 360? Thoughts?

Okay thanks for the tips. I never thought to try diffrent trucks on diffrent tracks. I'll give that a whirl.

you need to get Superior class on every track to get the next cup. then do that on the next one to get Mirror Class. Hope that helps ya Oh, okay I see now. I'll have to get back into the game and try it out.

I don't regret getting the wii. There wasn't too many games for it (that I was interested in) at the start, but that is changing.

I stopped playing this game a couple months ago. I can't seem to unlock the super exite mode (i think that's what it was). Can't seem to get enough points (stars??) to move on.....Still think it's a great game and do hope for a sequel (or even bring back exitebike). And give us a track editor next time......

Resident Evil 4(wii) Scarface(wii) new simpsons game(wii) Super Mario Galaxy(wii) Dewey's Adventure(wii) Alien Syndrome(wii) Unreal Tournament 3(360) GTA 4(360) Yeah it's mostly wii games at the moment as for 360 I don't have one yet....Those wii games coming out by years end will have me broke..... I might have to hold off buying the 360 untill later. That might be hard, as I really want that GTA...

When they announced the name I hated it....Now, I think it's okay...then again I was never crazy about "gamecube" or "playstation" or even "Xbox".....and now I find those names to be good...so maybe in another six months I'll like the name even more... Don't know anyone who won't buy the wii (or any system) because they don't like the name...sounds strange to not buy a system becuase you don't like the name....

Okay thanks for the replies. I haven't actually tried the controller out yet i'll do that sometime this week. Now, if i could only score myself a ps2 shadowblade arcade stick i'd be really happy . I passed on buying that many times and haven't seen one in a few years......oh well.
