  1. I'd be Vyse from Skies of Arcadia on the DC. He's a badass pirate who's a definite ladies man, becomes quite famous, captains a kickass ship, and travels with two hot babes at his side.
  2. Welcome! This Jag forum is pretty good, but probably the most popular one is Jaguar Interactive II. JI 2 (as it's affectionately called) is usually pretty active, but it gets trolled quite a bit. While not as active, Atari Age doesn't have to deal with trolls near as often. Hope this helps!
  3. Try checking this thread for a few ideas. Better yet, try reading through some of the back threads for any additional information. Unfortunately, I haven't started up much on any coding for the Lynx, but I have done coding for the old Atari 8-bit and the Atari ST. You need to learn programming in either C or 6502 assembly (preferably a bit of both) if you don't know it already. There are several topics in this forum and the Programming forum that should give you plenty of information on how to start. There's a few Lynx developers who hang around here, so they can probably give you more sound advice than I can. Hope that helps!
  4. Even $100 is too much for them. Why must we put up with these insane prices....?
  5. I've always heard it as the XEGS. And I'd say it's worth about $1.00, and I'll be willing to take it off your hands for that price.
  6. Those I believe were made to be used with the Falcon030 computer. They were actually released several years before the Jag came out, but I don't recall ever seeing one over here in the states. I believe they mainly made their way over to Europe.
  7. I've never taken an XEGS apart before, as I've never owned one. However, I used to take my ST apart ALL the time, and never found it too difficult. The Lynx was a nightmare the first time I took it apart, but after that it became a piece of cake. And I remember having more difficulty taking my 130XE apart, so I guess I'll have to go with the ST. Which was nice, too, because having to reseat all of the chips in their socket on a daily basis would have been a much bigger pain!
  8. Man, hearing all of this is making me wish I had my old 130XE! I'd find a perfect use for an old PC I have sitting in my closet right now.
  9. Come on, folks....let's get some more reviews up here! I'll be posting more a little later.
  10. You may want to be careful with that, if what you're offering for free is copyrighted material.
  11. If he wants to help with criticism, he could at least TRY to be a bit more tactful with it. If I don't recognize a name and they're ripping into someone on only their second post, 9 times out of 10 they turn out to be a troll. If you want to be welcomed into a community, it's generally a good idea by NOT ripping into someone. That's a sure fire way to NOT make friends. Honestly, if you have a problem with how James is trying to work on Native, why don't you email him privately instead of trying to demean him in a public forum?
  12. That's true also, but talking shit like he did is uncalled for. I'd like to know what he's done to contribute to the Jag community that gives him the right to badmouth someone else who really is trying.
  13. That's why he needs to know. I know a few other people who would be interested in hearing this too, for the same reason.
  14. Same here. I've sold many a Jag and Lynx just by showing people who'd never seen them before. I've also witnessed people walk into JagFest empty-handed and walk out with a new Jag and/or Lynx, plus games. And most of these people never even knew Atari made anything after the '83 crash!
  15. That is all true. However, I just fail to see the point of posting something with the intention of trying to rip someone for trying to make a contribution to the Jag community, and expect anything good to come of it. He is definitely entitled to his own opinion, though. I guess not everyone was taught that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
  16. Would it be possible to get on a waiting list for it, just in case you are able to produce more carts? My experience with the game at JF2K2 has left me wanting more....MUCH more!
  17. I guess the trolls from JI2 are finally making their way over here...
  18. I was never fortunate enough to have used DOS XE, or unfortunate enough to use DOS 3. My 1050 came with 2.5, which I used extensively on my 130XE. Unfortunately, I traded in my 130XE along with TONS of software for a 1040ST. I don't regret getting the ST, but I do regret having to use the 130XE as trade bait.
  19. Have you installed it yet on your ST? Let us know how well it works! I'd be interested in hearing about it.
  20. It's a shame that no one thought to release a rifle peripheral like what the arcade uses. I for one would pay big $$$ for that.
  21. I must be the only person who can get any kind of enjoyment out of Pit Fighter. Do I think it's a good game? Not really, but I can at least have fun with it. However, Tournament Cyberball has got to be right up there with Basketbrawl for the title of Worst Lynx Game Ever. It's a pity, too, because the arcade game rocked. I'll put Dirty Larry right up there, too. Pretty graphics do not a game make.
  22. You got lucky. I'd have to add California Games. Once you figure out the strategies for racking up the points on each of the mini games, the sky's the limit. Gates of Zendocon is pretty easy, but it always bores me to tears before I get to the end. I don't think Turbo Sub is that easy. Of course, I got bored with it a little too quickly, so maybe I just haven't played it enough.
  23. I've been wondering this for a while now, and it seems like I can't find one for a decent price. I was planning on just buying it from B&C until they jacked up the price by $100. Anyone know?
  24. I don't have a Battle.net name right now, as it keeps expiring, but I usually go by Sauron846.
  25. That's really too bad about your financial problems, Topaz. I hope you get it all sorted out! I've wanted a Falcon030 ever since Atari first said that name. Unfortunately, they've always been out of my price range and always will be. But if I remember correctly, didn't some music company buy the rights to the Falcon and start selling the same hardware, but just in a different case? I thought I remember hearing something like that a while ago....
