  1. Does anyone know of a good 6502 asm tutorial available on the web? My Google searches have yet to reveal one so far....
  2. While we're giving out free E.T. carts, I wouldn't mind grabbing one myself. For a pretty common game, it's been hard for me to get ahold of for some reason...
  3. I may just take you up on that. If you're still interested in selling it, email me at sauron846@yahoo.com.
  4. I'm looking for a 7800, with or without games, but with the AC adapter, TV connector, and joysticks. I don't really have anything to trade, but I will pay whatever you ask just as long as it's reasonable. You can email me at sauron846@yahoo.com.
  5. Out of probably about 500 hours of playing Rogue Leader, it froze on me once. Haven't had it freeze on any other game.
  6. I could list quite a few faults with the XBox, but the biggest one would be it's idiotic fanboys. They're the most obnoxious and least intelligent fanboys I've ever seen. Seems about fitting for a M$ product.
  7. The most recent ones for me are Shenmue II and Skies of Arcadia for DC. I'm still working on Shenmue II, though. I think I also did it with Grandia II, but didn't find it as compelling as SoA.
  8. AND you like Led Zeppelin too (or at least the song Stairway to Heaven). You're still single, right?
  9. quote: Originally posted by Clint Thompson: Shenmue II eh? Sweeet! Should I ask how good it is? I'm not sure how I'd obtain a copy but I'm sure someday it'll be possilbe. Will it work on any DC system in the US? Thanks, Clint You can find all kinds of copies on eBay. I found mine at a local game store. You'll need some way to boot import games, though. I'd suggest a Utopia boot disc or a GameShark CD-X (which is what I use). I've managed to make my way through the game a bit, and so far I'm really enjoying it. The amount of detail in this game is absolutely incredible. You have your choice of jobs to work, a lot more area to explore, more free fights, etc. Definitely a worthy sequal to the original Shenmue.
  10. Well, not this last weekend, but the weekend before, I grabbed Shenmue II DC (European) for $65 and Bangai-O for $15. Could've grabbed Starlancer for $15 also, but I didn't want to spend that much.
  11. It really sucks for me. I just got back into collecting for my Lynx. The thing is, people collect this stuff just for rarity, kinda like baseball cards. I don't. I buy games that I WANT TO PLAY. I'd like to eventually grab the whole Lynx library, but that will become impossible due to collectors who want nothing more than a trophy. Sorry, I just don't understand the logic in that....
  12. You can also go buy yourself a Game Doctor, which usually retails for about $30 and can be found at your local video game store. I haven't bought one personally, but I've used one on several occassions, and can definitely say that it works.
  13. I was able to pick up Shenmue II (European) and Bangai-O this weekend. Both games are incredible, and it's a total shame that Shenmue II wasn't published in the US. Anyone plan on getting Ikaruga?
  14. I gotta throw my support behind Nintendo now...they're the only true gaming company left producing consoles. They're also the one company left who you know will support their system with quality software. Companies like Sony and M$ scare me. The day Nintendo dies is the day that games are no longer fun.
  15. I went sauntering off to the mall last week with my wife just out of sheer boredom. I decided to drop in to GameFellas (the local mom & pop game store) and noticed a copy of Shemue II (European) sitting in the glass case. Alas, I did not have the money with me at the time, so I wistfully looked back at it while leaving the store. Fast forward about a week. My wife and I go off to the mall again, and she gives me the OK to get the game if it's still there. Thinking it was most likely gone, I waltz into GameFellas again, ask the guy at the counter if they still have it, and lo and behold, they do! I was so excited I almost peed my pants (well, not really). I haven't fired it up yet, but I'll give my impressions of it once I do. Off to play me some Shenmue II...
  16. No, but I'll pay you $12 if you buy it for me.
  17. The Commode 64 had some good (even great) games. One in particular I used to love was Friday the 13th. No other game had ever given me nightmares until I would see the random pictures of an axe going through a guy's head or the seven bloody skulls. Even the screams whenever someone died gave me chills.
  18. Hopefully I'll be able to add a few myself to that published list...anyone have any word on the BLL cable yet?
  19. Hey now, I didn't claim to do the same feat myself. I just happen to know many people who beat that game pretty quickly. I haven't played a whole lot of LM, but I can honestly say what I have played was pretty good. Pikmin took me about a week to beat, though, but your mileage may vary. That's why I suggested to rent before you buy. On the other hand. RL and SMB take MUCH longer to beat...I guarantee no one who visits these boards will beat those games within the standard 3 day rental window.
  20. About dang time. Ahem. Anyway, I would definitely recommend Super Monkey Ball and Rogue Leader as definite purchases. I would rent Luigi's Mansion, WaveRace, and Pikmin before buying them. Those last three are definitely good games, but can all be beat within the standard 3 day window. I've had a chance to play the new Resident Evil (Import), and I must say I'm quite impressed. Those are big words coming from me, as I've hated all of the other RE games. I would definitely recommend that as a purchase on the 30th.
  21. I have yet to see any games on the way to the XBox that don't reek of mediocrity. The only exception would be Project Ego, but I find it hard to get excited about PC-style games on consoles.
  22. I wonder why we haven't seen too many good American games on any of the other systems...oh, maybe that's because most of the big American publishers (EA, Activision, etc) put out crap. I see nothing different happening with the Xbox, except that they're not getting any good games from Japanese developers to counter the uninspired regurgitation being ported over. Believe me, if the Xbox doesn't start getting some better games, and soon, it'll go the way of the DC about a year from now. I don't see it hanging with Sony and Nintendo during the Christmas season if things don't change.
  23. Oids 2.0 is now available for the Mac for those of you who have Macs. From what I've read, it's pretty much the same game except with extra galaxies added. Oids 2.0 for Mac review
  24. You should've smacked him upside the head for that.
