  1. I just finished BotW myself, after taking my time with it and trying to get the most out of the game through the first playthrough. I'm almost tempted to try springing for the DLC but considering I've been going a bit wild with purchasing discounted games for the Switch, I figure it's time to actually start giving some of them a try. The time period between now and TotK's release should give me plenty opportunity to do just that.
  2. But...but...the Jag can do MIPMAP Vectoring with full alpha-shading and textured polygons! How do I know this? Because I imagine it to be true!
  3. I'm still playing BotW. The game definitely lives up to the expectations that I had after hearing all of the glowing reviews of it back when it was first released. Even if TotK just turns out to be more of the same, it'll be a day one purchase from me.
  4. I bought this game (along with Gravitar Recharged) on the Switch, and I've been enjoying it quite a bit.
  5. You'll find people like that in every fandom, Nintendo by no means has a monopoly on that type of fan behavior.
  6. No kidding. With how some haters rag on Nintendo and complain about every last thing they do or make, you'd think that the company's existence is a threat to their manhood or something. I get having favorites or just in general not liking certain things, but their need to constantly express it in a forum dedicated to the thing they hate shows some underlying issues.
  7. As soon as I read the part about sniffing the cart, that same thought came to mind. I hear they taste great!
  8. It's like you didn't read any of the posts regarding ppera being *coughcough* "cancelled" from AA. Here, I'll post my own reply which explains the whole thing in a little more detail. I suggest you actually read it this time. Now, can we PLEASE stop with the whole "AA clique" thing?
  9. First of all, check my name again, and spell it correctly. It's not that difficult, it's only 6 letters. And not sure why you're trying to pick on CJ here, he's but one of many who have been telling you the same thing.
  10. Wow, at this rate he's going to catch up to the all time "Banned from Forums" leader, Kieren Hawken. This is hardly the same as being "cancelled". It's not like there's some grand conspiracy between Atari-focused forum admins rubbing their hands together and cackling after hitting the ban button. People who are troublemakers or who have caustic personalities tend to consistently repeat the same behavior elsewhere. I had no idea he had been banned from AF or the other forums, but hearing it doesn't surprise me in the least.
  11. I can't imagine how you Evercade-playing folks can try to make a run through that game without using a mouse. A far better idea is to 1.) Buy it on GOG for cheap, and 2.) play it using Open Fodder.
  12. If you already have the old systems, check the prices of what those games are going for and see if they're cheaper than what Nintendo will sell the Switch versions for. I have a GC and Wii sitting around here somewhere, and for that purpose I'm a bit wary of buying remakes of old games from those systems for full price if I can get the originals for cheaper.
  13. As a longtime user and a former global mod here, I'm another who will vouch for Albert being extremely lenient when it comes to banning. One thing many here don't realize is that this was far from ppera's first rodeo with the banhammer. He had been banned before years ago, and I believe his "ParanoidLittleMan" account was a secondary he created a while later. As to what led to him being banned this time, I've no idea, but whatever it was, I'm sure there was plenty of a good reason for it. Another thing important to note is that not all actions that lead to banning are on public display, as I can attest to, being someone who's had his AA inbox filled with diatribes from ppera claiming everything from the mods here hating the ST (certainly not true, why would there be an ST forum?) to us all being racist against Hungarians (yes, that is a real accusation from him, I kid you not). The banhammer is NOT wielded here in an arbitrary manner, nor is it swift in its strike.
  14. You probably should have explained that better, then. Initially, it looks like you're referencing yourself on it, thus the cause for confusion.
  15. I always wondered why they never brought it to the DC. I had the GC game as well, and loved it.
  16. Indeed. But that's relevant only for the single player mode. I think the comments are much more geared towards PvP, which is the main point of any 1v1 fighting game.
  17. Yes, HTML is more of a markup language than one used for programming logic, which is why all kinds of web-focused languages and frameworks exist. If you want to at least learn the basics of coding, there are tons of free resources out there which can get you started in a variety of different programming languages. If you want to get started with the very basics, I recommend checking out Scratch. (obviously, this is targeted at philipj and other non-coders, not to CJ)
  18. Wow, all that for pointing out that you used yourself as a source? What are you trying to hide from us, er, I mean from yourself, JagChris?
  19. Tetris99 is crazy fun, as I've discovered in the last week. Between that and having cloud saves, the $20 plan is more than worth the cost. And I've barely even touched any of the NES/SNES games available.
  20. Porting the game wouldn't be a simple task. The Falcon uses a very different architecture from the Jaguar, and I doubt any of the knowledge and skills that went into porting most of the ST titles to the Jag would translate to porting Llamazap. I'll concur, though, that it would be nice to see that game on the Jag, but I certainly wouldn't hold my breath.
  21. Here's a challenge for you: go into any of the forums for other systems on here and post all this gobblety gook about what you want to accomplish on that particular system, and see what kind of responses you get. Go and do the same on forums for other systems as well, such as the Sega-16 or 3DO Zone forums and see if those responses are similar to what you get on here. As soon as people start figuring out that you've never written a single line of code, those responses are going to be no different than what you're encountering here. Go and think on that for a while, and maybe you'll figure out why.
