TheYoungProgrammer replied to Pitfall Harry's topic in Contests
I still don't get it. What is the number code? -
Are you talking about high scores in games? Or do you mean that you're selling these?

I think it has to do with where the squares are. Maybe you have to pay attention to a certain color before you do anything with the other. I need another quote thing from Pitfall Harry. -

How do you know if you're registered? Do you have to go to the secret website that tells you the details and the contest and e-mail you? Or do you just have to post on the topic like so? Am I registered? That secret contest page that you made basically has what Ben just said and the rules, but also has some pictures at the bottom of it. Happy Logical Problems Appreciation Day! -
Yes, this is completely normal for Activision games to wear away like this. It's called actiplaque, and is a big problem on Activision carts. I'd not make a big deal about it.

So basically what Ben is saying is that all the letters and things we find in different pictures can lead to other clues. Just try to make out what the clues are saying. GREYINK could mean go to the grey link or something. Really I have no clue of what GREYINK means but do you?!?! And yes it is useful to use tools such as Aimation Shop for the job. -

I'm stumped. I use a program to look at close objects and animation frames and I still can't find anything. Can Pitfall Harry give us a clue to think of next or something. Plus, above the manual looking picture of Pitfall Harry swinging on the vine on the Pitfall map page, there seems to be some x's and t's. -

I already e-mailed Ben about this and no reply yet. I teamed up with Atari70's to find clues and things and we might be done. Well good luck. -

When answers follow recondite trail You must heed the Scorpion's Tale. - A mystic "The answer lies south of the border The journey starts somewhere within This map I have made is in order To give somebody something to win." -Pitfall Harry I found this in Pitfall Harry's website. It might give you a clue. -

I can't find anything but you should try using a search engine or something. I still think some of us are on a roll. We just have to wait and see. I don't think Pitfall Harry is going to say anything about this until tommorow. OK!! I am going nuts. -
AtariAge T-Shirt Slogan Contest
TheYoungProgrammer replied to Alex's topic in AtariAge Sponsored Contests
quote: Originally posted by Albert: Just a heads up, Alex and I have decided on the contest winners. Yes, winners! Because we received over 200 entries... ..Al OMG! 200 slogans!!! First of all I thought that the contest had to have a design and pictures and things. I could have already submitted a slogan if I knew it was just a single sentence or paragraph.BTW you should see 'em all. They're horrible. -
I live in Northern NJ and have never moved from my location besides on vacations. There is almost no trace of arcades or classic video game collecting people anywhere in my vincinity. Maybe it's better down there in Viriginia.

Bugs Bunny Easter Egg, Extra Copies Etc
TheYoungProgrammer replied to Atari2600.com's topic in Atari 2600
What time did NUMAN find the easter egg? Because I found the easter egg on Sunday morning also. I think I should also be credited for finding the easter egg in Bugs Bunny. -
DDR for Playstation and Arcade. Even if they're not classic I'm still hooked on 'em. Now I wonder why my legs hurt so much? I'm also hooked on the previously unreleased Bugs Bunny game that I got at PhillyClassic3.

That's not what I ment. But, don't you need an EPROM programmer to program the games? Mjilescord, you need a soldering iron, an EPROM programmer, an old Combat cartridge, and the knowledge to know how to program 6502(which is probably the only problem for most people). I hope you know what to get now. Next you have to learn to program in 6502 language.
-
I think you should go on EBAY and bid an auction for an EPROM Programmer. All you have to do is find the right EPROM programmer for the job. Besides that, you should know how to use a soldering iron. Happy programming!

Have you ever found anything at a Salvation Army?
TheYoungProgrammer replied to BatmiteReturns's topic in Atari 2600
That's not a bargain to me. I've got mine clean and fine for 20$ with nothing with it. They might of thought it was pretty rare or something. But the one I've got was the Darth Vader module. -
Have you ever found anything at a Salvation Army?
TheYoungProgrammer replied to BatmiteReturns's topic in Atari 2600
You lucky person! I live very close to Paramus(about 2 or 3 towns away). I haven't really actually gone there yet(to the Salvation Army) and I plan on going there next week. How far do you live away from Paramus? I hope I'll find some good stuff, plus maybe you're right, I'll might find nothing. The thrift store in my town has nothing, only some sort of computer I've never heard of. It's called the Resale Shop. There is another one in Emerson that's smaller than the one in my town, I've never been there though. [ 05-07-2002: Message edited by: BlueGround Games ] -
I Need A New Name Suggestion For My Game
TheYoungProgrammer replied to TheYoungProgrammer's topic in Programming
Thank you all for submitting names for my upcoming Atari2600 game! I've chosen Cafeman's choice of Criminal Expressway. No more submitting for this topic, let it drift to the bottom of the list. I don't have a bin file for the game yet, plus it's not going to be finished probably until next year. Keep your hopes up on upcoming information on Criminal Expressway. -
24-hour video game channel set to launch
TheYoungProgrammer replied to Pitfall Harry's topic in Modern Gaming Discussion
Too bad it's only for Comcast cable companys. I haven't heard any news on this channel since that article. It would probably be a bad television channel by the time it comes to my cable company. -
They're fun, they're popular, and there ported to Playstation game consoles near you. The games that you have to stomp on a pad or strum a guitar at the precise moment. They're originally from the arcade and most of them have been ported to Playstation game consoles EVERYWHERE. Come share your thoughts on these japanese oriented games.

I need suggestions for names for my new upcoming car fighting type of game. You drive a van type of car around a highway and you would shoot other cars to score points. I really need ideas for the game name because my older game name ideas were horrible. Please suggest some names in this topic.

PhillyClassic Atari Museum Exhibit
TheYoungProgrammer replied to Albert's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I'm looking forward to seeing the exhibit. Maybe it would attract a lot of people and prove to be a big hit at the convention. Hopefully it's good. [ 04-07-2002: Message edited by: TheYoungProgrammer ]
