Worst games you were stuck with for the whole weekend

Ya, they never did quite reach the level of softcore gay porn like modern wrestling games do. -

If I do another one, it'll be something very simple and only cost ten or fifteen bucks. Odball and Mentis are both very elaborate and costly. When I had the idea for Ego Mentis, it was going to be a game on its own for $10, but I threw it in with Mentis. It was going to be called Odwall, and would have consisted of a screen overlay, instruction, and a two score sheets (buyers would need to make copies). -
I just want the box for the CDX. Can I buy that?

I bought Populous for Genesis, mainly because I heard great things about the PC game. I popped it in and quickly realized I didn't have the time for it. Later I went back to give it one last shot, and it doesn't work. Please tell me this isnt the first time you've seen that image. Thats been around for at least like 5 years lol It is!! -

The good thing about this is I don't have to order PCBs, so if someone wants one later I can just make one. It will only cost $10 more when I don't do it in bulk. -

These days I am more likely to preorder a homebrew. But not modern games. I used to do it habitually back in the Dreamcast days, but no longer. If I need a console on day one, then I do a pre-order.

Games that a three year old can play?

I guess that's a decent substitute when you don't have this... Ohh.... I kinda want to pick that one up. -

Zoop This is one of those games where the marketing could not be escaped. It came out for SNES and Genesis, and then 3DO and Jaguar, and then PlayStation and Saturn. There was a Game Boy and GameGear release too. It was on TV all the time, and in every game magazine. For some reason, I thought it looked cool. It wasn't. While I remember the basic gameplay mechanic being solid, the difficulty curve was extreme. After just a few levels, even on the beginner setting, the game would eat you alive. The logo was "America's biggest time killer." My ass. It's a good killer of about four minutes before it becomes self-aware and destroys you. Granted, I haven't played it since the year it came out, so I might be better now, but I am not that interested in giving it another try. I suppose the mere fact that it didn't have the staying power of Tetris, or anywhere close to it, speaks to the fact that it wasn't an amazing puzzle game, and a waste of a weekend rental. NSFW.. I came across this image while looking for "Zoop SNES" on Google Image Search. NSFW -
Whats the longest time you've spent on Atariage.

What are your favorite obscure consoles?
Rev. Rob replied to Ransom's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Am I having deja vu? Or did we have a big conversation on this recently? If not, then I'll go Odyssey, Channel-F, Microvision, Vectrex, DINA 2-in-One (even though it's junk, it let's me play cool games), and Astrocade. Most really obscure systems I own, InteractiveVision, R-Zone, Game.com, NUON, Arcadia 2001, APF MP-1000, Studio II, get no play. -

Continuing the fuck Accolade theme... WarpSpeed I re-bought this as an adult after reading some idiot's positive review. It's just as bad as I remember as a kid. You basically fly around shooting in loops and have to pass through multiple worm holes to achieve objectives that are only possible if you nail the timing to a fraction of a second. Maybe if there was more shooting and the shooting wasn't slow as shit, then it would be remotely fun. Here's a video of the SNES version from a site called TheFailSite which calls it the worst game ever produced. I haven't watched the whole thing, but I am sure I agree with it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4d-1k22p8c -
I have all of the US release games complete, plus the European exclusive Super Breakout. I have an answer! It comes in the same box as the NES one with a sticker that says it's for Genesis. I just don't own the box. The same keyboard is used for the NES, SNES, PC, and Sega Genesis. All you need is different software and cables. The lose games and cables can be found on the cheap. So, if you wanted to use your Miracle Piano on the Genesis you can do so just by finding the cart and cord. I picked up all of the carts and cords for around $30 total. The only think I don't have is the PC software. (And of course the box.) Edit: I looked it up and software was also released for Mac and Amiga. Still, all systems use the same keyboard. With all of the crappy Guitar Hero type games that use fake instruments, it's a shame that a modern update to this concept doesn't materialize. Ive got the nes cart NIB what a nice add to my almost complete nes collection, but I can not find the boxed sega or super nes ones at alll... Nice collection you have there though... Thanks. I am pretty sure the NES version is the only one that came in a specific box. The rest were just a generic box with a sticker.

FYI - Ideally I'd like to close orders by 2/1/11. So, please try to get payments in by then. Once all payments are made, then I'll order the game boards and pouches. Everything else is already on hand. So, shipping should take place around 2/14. -

For those who are not aware of this game, please read the FAQs here in the Homebrew forum. You can read through the history of the development cycle. Even if you don't own an Odyssey, you may still enjoy this game because it's playable as a strategy board game without the video game component. The final draft of the instructions are attached to get a good idea of the way the game works. Here is an overview of the four games that are included (read the attached PDF for further details): Mentis - Two player strategy board game. Mentis Strike - Same as Mentis, but utilizes the Odyssey for additional game play elements. Ego Mentis - A singer player strategy game similar to peg solitaire that only requires the game peices. Mentis Siege - An Odyssey version of Breakout. Also single player. Buying Instructions The game will cost $57. That includes the cost of production for each unit, all of the materials, shipping, packaging, a little extra for me to recoup the cost of licensing the artwork for the box and the time I put into it. The board alone is almost $40. These shipping costs may not be 100% accurate. If it turns out to be more, I'll ship anyway and send an invoice. PM me your name (as you would like it to appear on your certificate), address, and the email address you use for Paypal. I will reply with my Paypal address, and send an invoice. I prefer to not use any method other than Paypal. But if you cannot use Paypal for whatever reason, and can show that you have good rep here or elsewhere, then feel free to contact me with an alternative method for payment. I'll notify everyone when their item is shipped. Orders will run for a week or two until most people who wants one can get one, and I can make one single order of PCBs. International buyers please add $5. Please send the money as a GIFT or add $2 for Paypal fees. I didn't do this with Odball last time, and the losses to fees really added up.
