  1. The last time they sold does look a bit fishy, but no info was changed at all, and the games they are selling aren't all that rare short of a few, and even those aren't the cream of the crop. Doesn't look worth being a scam since it doesn't yield high profits. Phil
  2. Well, SS# is a bad idea. People can steal alot of things with your SS# including your identity, and even though Ebay may be a big company now, can you really trust the employees with that info, especially if they get fired, or better yet, get lured into big money, using or selling off SS#'s. As for BUZZ46, I found out the original owner of the user id was from Oregon, so she probably stopped using the id prior to Ryan hacking her. She also probably has no clue that someone used her id to scam thousands of dollars. Phil
  3. Ok, Haven't seen anyone mention Cubanito321 in awhile. So far this person has not emailed me any photos of his merchandise in 2 days. Is it me or has he changed the price of his fake prototypes? I thought they were all at $5.00 minimum, not $50.00. Maybe the stress from all this is getting to me. Regardless, so far the only thing anyone has bid on is the vectrex game. That I can actually believe he owns, since he won a batch of vectrex games in one of the auctions. Any news on Ryan and his whereabouts? Any news on anyone getting money refunded? I'd like to hear from everyone that was scammed. Phil
  4. What I was talking about is that the area code I called was in PA. You can say you are in PA and be in CA, but you can't fake an area code. Phil
  5. Ok, you posted the same time as I did. To your response, the phone number is in PA. I got the answering machine saying this is John Stenson and left a message to call me back. He called me back, so he definitely got my message. If you don't believe him, just avoid bidding, but this one I think most of us feel safe about. Phil
  6. Well, I guess you can say that, but I personally own about 610 or so games for the 2600, including all those you listed, plus alot more rare ones including 11 prototypes. I think many of the bigger collectors probably have most of the games, so it's not uncommon for a big collector to part with his collection. I don't think I'd ever part with my collection. Phil
  7. Ok, folks. Just got off the phone with John. His Quadrun is legitimate. He told me he didn't have a means of taking pictures and that he hasn't sold anything in awhile. He also thanks everyone who is looking out for fraud. So bid away with confidence. Phil
  8. Ok, tried to do what you said. I put ALL for region, typed Commando and it's still not coming up more than the 2 that are listed. Then I actually put company:HES with ALL as the region and it says no entry found. What next? I've never had this much trouble doing something on the computer before. Phil
  9. I just emailed Cubanito321 for a pic of Atari Video Cube. He actually stated to email him for a pic. I will let you know how he responds. Phil
  10. Ok, I phoned John Stenson this morning and got HIS answering machine, so at least the hacker didn't change the phone number. I explained I am a bidder on his auction, and that there has been a series of hacked pws selling rare Atari games. I asked him to call me or contact me by email. I will keep you all posted with this. I should find out no later than this evening, so let's keep our fingers crossed. Phil
  11. You guys are missing the point. Something has changed with the user info today! He might have been on the up and up until today. Then he got hacked, Ryan put the new email address, but left this guy's other info. Maybe in a few days, he'll change that too. You win the game, and you get an email from Ryan and ebay with Ryan's new email address saying to send money to Cincinatti or Kentucky. Maybe the person doesn't look at where it's being sold from. Alot of times, I don't check the seller I buy from. Nonetheless, I will be calling John in the morning and verify this myself. If he didn't do this, I will tell him he's been hacked and that someone is using his id to fraud people. If he is on the up and up, I will ask him to send me a pic of the game, since I was the first bidder. I'll keep everyone informed as soon as I find out the info. Phil
  12. He must've just hacked this one. It's Transformer_addict. He changed something with the info today, april 11th. I just checked the user id. Here is the guy's info as of right now. User ID: transformer_addict Name: John V Stenson Company: City: Lansdale State: PA Country: United States Phone: (215) 362 - 8492 Time/Date: Wednesday, Feb 24, 1999 15:07:32 PST So, the only thing we can do is hope that the person selling this is John. I might consider calling this guy, but it's late here. Maybe tomorrow and see if he is selling the game. This doesn't give the user's email address. That is what may have changed, and the winner may in fact be given a different name to pay. Let's keep our eye on this stooge. Phil
  13. I don't see any auctions by this seller. How did you track him down? I say we keep on top of him as best we can. Phil
  14. Cool, thanks for the info. Maybe I'm touched, but I can't find the label list on here. I am new, but since there is so much info, I come across the scanned labels and only see the Salu and Standard versions. Where is the list? Thanks in advance. Phil
  15. Ok, I just contacted at least 10 of the people that he purchased from under any of the 3 user ids. If the name is not Ryan Kinman, hopefully someone will contact me with the information and we'll nail the sucker. Phil
  16. Good idea Tiger. I'm going to contact them myself and find out what address they shipped to. I'll be happy to nail this guy once and for all. I'm telling you. If I was in the area and knew who this guy was, I'd personally kick his ass all over Kentucky.
  17. Thank God he can't rape anyone else. Hopefully. For all we know, he has more accounts, but now they are aware, so they should be able to track him down. I got a notice about my cancellation of the Crazy Climber, but I used the buy it now. I wonder if they reimburse the stopped check payment. Could have been alot worse. For some of you, it is. This should teach us all a lesson. If something looks too good to be true, it probably is. Phil
  18. I emailed AL last night a pic of the Activision Commando green label version. It's not listed on the cart scans. I have the white one too, which is the one shown. Is the green label with the yellow letters a foreign version? Maybe HES? Any help will be appreciated. Phil
  19. Ok, I'm back with my 2 cents. Since you drove by and saw the Toyota in the driveway, did you get the license plate? I'm sure someone has connections with motor vehicle to find out who owns the car. Also, have you stopped by the local post office and mentioned any of this to the post master? This might help saying you think the person is using this address as a front and maybe heisting the mail before it gets into the box. Also, what is the possibility the person found a key, or works in a hardware store and made a copy of the box key? I have stopped payment on my check as of this morning. Cost me $20.00, but better than losing my $106.00. I also reported this with the USPS website as a fraud, stating that I cancelled my check. I do concur that anyone who won an auction should to this. Ok, the big question. Who is going to be the first to leave negative fb? If the ones who already paid and didn't get their stuff do it, I'll join suit and maybe we can get him kicked off that way. Or at least get people to stop bidding and using buy it nows. I wish I lived near this guy because I wouldn't be afraid to go knocking on the door. Hell, I would say I want to buy the games with cash on me right there. It would help to know if he actually lives there. Best thing I can think of yet... can this guy be using someone else's name with a fake id? Ryan Kinman may be a real nice 70 year old man, but some punk may have gotten a fake id, steals the checks and m.o.s and cashes them at the local check cashing place. So what is the chance we can get someone with more contacts to verify this asap? Please do so. I cringe to think this guy is running away with thousands of dollars right now. Phil
  20. As you all know, I posted this person's info. I decided to rebid on things waiting to see if I get my first game. He then cancelled all my bids, since I wrote down he had a phoney phone number. The phone number I posted is in this thread. I called and got some weird girl on the answering machine that said her name was no where near Kinman. I'm going to definitely stop payment on the check before I get burned. If this guy is for real, oh well. I'll pass and leave myself with more sleep at night knowing my money is safe in my hands. I do suggest anyone would like to call this guy and see how he explains his father getting mail order games in a store. Would be interesting. I still advise to beware. Phil
  21. I went back and bid on a few of the games. I figure I can do what the other person is doing. If I don't get my game, I won't pay for the others. Thing is, I specifically sent extra money for insurance, so he can't say that he mailed the thing and it got lost. This is going to be fun to see how it turns out. I know ebay has been cracking down on fraud and if he is a phoney, I'll be smiling when the FBI comes knocking down his door and he's serving time in the slammer.
  22. Well, seems things have gotten even more interesting. This guy wrote back the following email to me. This is it word for word. Not sure how serious he is, but I'm still considering allowing my check to go through for the Crazy Climber. I figure if it's real, I'll sell my loose one and make my money back regardless. Ryan's email: Actually, I have already contacted SafeHarbor, this person has e-mailed all of my bidders, tried placing bids and then retracting so he can leave negative remarks in the explanation. I spoke to one bidder who ended 3 auctions with buy it now on the phone. He told me he needed a couple days to pay, then I read on the board that he has no intention of buying. Pretty stupid to give out my phone # - incidentally the phone # registered with eBay) - if my intention is to rip people off. Then one person on the board said he sent .01 to my brother's Paypal account - and I stated clearly in the winning e-mail that it is his account - to see if it's valid. Now he file a dispute form with Paypal for his penny. As far as I'm concerned, everyone on and associated with that board can get a life, and the site, the users who recked my auctions, and the used who filed a false Paypal claim have all been reported to eBay, SafeHarbor, Paypal, SquareTrade, and planetfeedback.com I have no less than 5 auctions to relist now because some smart-ass had to play around. if the fact that I have no negative feedbak, offer my home phone # and address and a verified Paypal and BidPay address isn't enough, then the morons on that board SHOULD NOT BID, DON'T SCREW UP AUCTIONS FOR OTHER POTENTIAL BIDDERS. Not to go off on you, but I'd personally like to see the board shut down after all of this. If you have no intention of buying please let me know now so I know to relist. Thanks! Ryan
  23. I bought these up at Funcoland a few years ago at 9 cents each. I figure at 9 cents, I can't go wrong. Someone will pay me 25 cents at a garage sale or something. I laugh when I see common games for sale like these, but there are the common games with boxes, and though they may be more common, I still find getting boxes a little tougher. Flame them all you want. They don't deserve to be putting "Rare" in the title. Most people don't even know what they are doing. Phil
  24. I just posted his info on the Ebay auctions message board. I called this number and got an answering machine. The person on the machine was a woman, not named Kinman and she even repeated the phone number hesitantly like she forgot what number it was. I wonder if this number was just acquired as a fluke for frauding people with ebay. I did ask him to send me a photo of all the games in one giant picture to prove. So far I haven't heard anything. I won Crazy Climber, but will be stopping payment on my check come morning, unless he can prove to me that he's legit. So far he's put on 3 Crazy Climbers. I of course was the 3rd one. Also, he goes by the name Buzz46, as someone stated on the other thread. Just click the email button and you'll see he's kinman141@aol.com, the bug90 one is kinman2600@aol.com. So if you're bidding on this guy's auctions, do so with no intention of paying. Good luck trying to get your money back. Phil
  25. Ok, I've been doing some checking due to being a winner of Crazy Climber and being Crazy enough to even send him a check. I'm going to be stopping payment come morning. But Bug90 and Buzz46 is definitely the same person. I've contacted Ebay about this, but again, with perfect records on the feedback, they might not do anything till it's too late. I was given the following info: Ryan Kinman 2544 Evergreen Drive Covington, KY 41017 859-727-3573 I called this number and got an answering machine of some woman not named Kinman. Maybe it's his girlfriend, or a total fraud, but I told ebay this. Hopefully they will try and see if this guy is real. I did retract all bids I placed and will advise you do the same. I also advise that you contact ebay with the same info, including the two ebay User IDs, since I sent my message prior to finding this out. Good luck everyone in weeding out fraud. Phil
